We stopped here because of TA reviews and were not disappointed. The experience starts as you begin to enter and the staff comes to the front door to greet you. Only time that happened in France. I had the french onion soup, a seafood galette and a dessert crepe. My wife had a sausage crepe and... read more

We didn't have a reservation on a friday evening so we sat outside. This turned out to be a great thing as we were able to enjoy the neighborhood "theater" that was going on up and down the street. The food was excellent, especially the desserts.

great decor - very country French. The crepe was ok, the cost was higher than similar places. the odd thing was that tables do not have any space between them so there was a waiter who moves each table to let customers in and out

My friend and I tried La Picoterie after seeing the great Trip Advisor reviews. The restaurant is huge and we were seated upstairs. The service and food were very good. The crêpes were more expensive than a lot of the crêpes I've had in France, but they were still not too expensive. The restaurant is conveniently located steps away from... More

Great location downtown. Service was very good. Server spoke English which is always helpful if you are not fluent in French. Food was as described and very good. Inside is small but cozy. Tables are very close, but this is to be expected in France. Would visit this restaurant again.

There is every reason to visit this restaurant. We were there for lunch on or about May 19, 2015. On our next visit to Chartres we will try it for dinner too. There is a lively hospitality here as well as very good food. We felt most welcome. We are normally with a small group of six people, which is... More

Had soup of the day - courgette gazpacho! -different. The waiter did point out that it was a cold soup, so full marks. Croute was OK and the recommended crepe nice. With aperitif, wine and coffee €54.

During our two-day visit to Chartres, we had the opportunity to enjoy this place. It seems to be a preferred restaurant by the locals and it is always rather crowded. My wife was delighted with her duck main dish, and I was very happy with my salad and onion soup. The service was very good, the food was just delicious.... More

We turned up on a Saturday night without reservation and the restaurant was packe. We were however, able to take a table and the service we received was friendly and efficient. The crepes were amazing and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the restaurant. Extremely close to Chartres cathedral where we witnessed some amazing 'son et lumiere' afterward. The restaurant is... This restaurant is so efficient that a reservation for lunch for 30 people, made just that morning, was readily accepted and the warm, friendly staff made us all welcome. The crepes were spectacular, as always, and I, for one, ate too much! This restaurant is always good value for money and worth a visit from local and visitor alike!
