Much the same as all the others

Fairly supercilious service, but the food was fine. I had superb oysters and more prawns than I could be bothered to count, all with very tasty Kanterbrau beer. Atmosphere is functional rather than cosy, but overall I would go back here.

it's a tavern with "choucroute" and sea food but also grilled meet , classic offer not really amazing but ok, Good and quick service , nice waiters. Good situation in Bourges in the heart center to walk and discover this nice city.

I had just spent a pleasant time inside Bourges' cathedral and decided it was time to sit and have a drink and contemplate some lunch. Close by the cathedral there are two bars but the building won my choice and so I sat outside. And as I did, the rain started, but I was happy under my umbrella whilst the... More

Many of the restaurants in the centre of Bourges close at 2 p.m., so, if you're looking for a late lunch, you're out of luck. Fortunately this restaurant stays open, and is quite large, so you're likely to find a table. The restaurant specializes in Alsatian food, so sausages and beer are good. They also do good moules/frites. The location... More

Surprising enough this place, part of a chain of restaurants by the same name, is much better than we had expected. There are not as many restaurants or cafes to choose from in the historic part of Bourges, and regrettably, aside from the beautiful Cathedral St. Etienne de Bourges, a World Heritage site, the adjacent gardens and the half-timbered houses,... Who said France has a mild climate! Today the temp topped 33C. After walking about for 2.5 hours my wife and I were ready for a break. Ordered up a tall mug of ice cold beer, diet coke and a planche Alsacienne. This appetizer platter ( big enough for two) consisted of toast points, 2 miniature baguettes, Iberian ham, pickles,... I came to Bourges to see the cathedral, and wanted lunch too. This restaurant had a lot of specialities from Alsace - and I am one who cannot resist Flammekuchen - just imagine pizza but German. It was just what I wanted. The server who was also the manager was good, (timely, responsive, etc). It was not exceptional, but it... More

After arriving late into Bourges we arrived here at about 10pm. The service was great and so was the food. We had a pot of steamed mussels and salmon along with a couple of cocktails and a bottle if wine along with deserts. I wouldn't say the meal was particularly pricey, it's generally what I would expect to pay for... More

Arrived late in Bourges, was glad to find this place opposite the cathedral still serving. Friendly staff, excellent goat's cheese salad starters & bottle of Menetou Salon. Overall impression marred by poor moules marinieres -- two pots were left half-finished. Staff made no attempt to discover why.
