Best gazpacho ever and partner loved the eclair stuffed with hake and beurre blanc. Sophisticated yet not snobby. Only place in azay worth going to . Memorably fab.

We had a lovely lunch in the garden. The menu is short but all choices were very good. The service is quick and professional. The atmosphere is posh. It is worth a visit.

We were so pleased we chose to eat here. The manager (owner?) is a very cool man in glasses who will help you with your French if you make the effort! The restaurant itself is quirky and cosy & very thoughtfully decorated in coordinated accessories and art work. Service was initially quick but slowed down once it got a bit... More

We find it hard to understand why this lovely little restaurant does not have a higher rating amongst other establishments in Azay. It was too wet to be outside on the evening we went but the interior is comfortable and tastefully decorated. The table settings were especially attractive and individual, something I always like. The set menu was really competitively... More

The service and surroundings were excellent and the drinks and food good - we had a very enjoyable evening and would visit again.

We had a good meal here in the calm and cool of the courtyard with a nightingale singing. Food was good, but not overly sophisticated.

We were drawn to this restaurant by the magnificent aroma that was being emitted from the kitchen. We all wanted to try the vegetarian lasagna , which did not disappoint. Great flavour and taste. We loved the atmosphere and the fact that it was not at all smicky . The dessert was very very good. Such a pleasant surprise we... More

After several disappointing meals elsewhere we were attracted by the smell of garlic & herbs. Service starts at 7.30pm is attentive & friendly. Food was excellent & we will probably return. My 17yr old son said "if we couldn't enjoy that meal, nothing would please us!" Only reservation, no veg. We would have loved either vegetables or a side salad,... More

Our hotel in Azay Le Rideau, pre-booked our reservation here, as they didn't serve dinner themselves at their location on a Sunday. It was a lovely and extremely "typical" French restaurant. It is small, but we liked that as was very intimate. The food and service were wonderful and we'd highly recommend eating there. I will have to say the... More

Visited on a not so busy Saturday night. First of all, the chairs are all quite bizarre, don't suit many of the tables (too high or too low!) but at least since no one was there, we were able to find a comfortable chair/table combination Terrine entree was good but from here on in, food was quite terrible - as...
