the food and presentation was awesome! love the design and decor - highly recommend it to anyone :) the burger was great and the service was very fast. Located between a bunch of other restaurants. Although there wasn't too many people, we noticed more are attracted once you sit down and see the food. If you are looking for a... More

We stayed for a couple of nights in Amboise at the end of our holiday and had spotted L'Ambacia from TripAdviser reviews. Visited here on our second night and probably had the best meal of the holiday. L'Ambacia is one of numerous restaurants in what is the main tourist square in Amboise- most of which have outside seating. As it... More

I visited L'Ambacia on my own during a business trip. Having eaten their some months ago and also then had a good meal. The manager even remembered my first visit. Quite simply a very good dining experience hitting all the right spots. Good service, englis good from several waiters and manager. Wine even by the 1/2 caraffe at reasonable price.... More

We ate here 2 of the 3 nights in Amboise. The food is great, the staff is very friendly, and they open a bit earlier than elsewhere. We had a variety of menu items and all were very good.

Our waitress was hesitant to let us sit outside because the weather was iffy, but the tables were covered and we were willing to chance it. My husband and I had been on vacation and eating out for 4 weeks so we decided to order salads and split a burger. The kitchen kindly split it for us (so I got... More

We ate here on our first night in Amboise. The best lamb I've ever had! Also good were the Onion soup, escargot and pasta dishes. Had an excellent and inexpensive Plou et Fils local wine. All while sitting outside with a view of the chateau. The staff was friendly and we met some nice local residents too. Highly recommend.

What a nice little place this is! We ate here two of the three nights we were in Amboise, and each time the staff was friendly and efficient, the food was delicious and well presented, and cost was reasonable. In addition, the decor and atmosphere are modern and sleek -- a nice change from the dark and heavy decor in... More

We actually ate dinner here twice given one of the nights, we did not have a choice of eateries. We had burgers the first night that were very very good after starting with French Onion soup. The other night we ate indoors (instead of the patio which is lovely) and husband had beef tartare and it was actually quite good.... More

Hostess welcomed us to the restaurant, but while taking our order kept greeting other customers. Hostess only spoke French, but it turned out later she also spoke English (once we started speaking English too). As starters: onion soup (rich of onions) and carpaccio (not much flavour). As main course: ravioli salmon and spinach (recommended) and beef with onion and fries... More

After finding out that our restaurant in Tours opened at half 7 and all too hungry to wait that long, my family hopped in the car and went to Amboise, a cute town which we had spent the previous day. We knew there was a street by the castle that was lined with potentially good restaurants and chose this one... More
