Everything they say is true!

I had a local bottle of wine, foie gras, duck with potato pie and apple pie... No words to describe! Amazing! A must to do at Loire Valley! As appetizer they have a caramel tomato and mushroom soup... Jamie Oliver would be jealous... Lol

This wa a very cozy place that with friends we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. although the weather was a little wet and damp we had a great time.IT is like a country inn and very cozy inside with a delightful staff. The rather limited but local menu was excellent and the wine suggested turned out to be a great choice.... More

This cute little restaurant hidden down and alley was clearly very popular and after eating the food you can understand why. Very home style cooking in a quaint family run atmosphere. Worth a visit but book ahead in the busy season as this place is small.

Dinner La Fourchette was one of those magical meals we shared on our trip in that we still think back fondly on the atmosphere and each course. No food is fresher and better than local ingredients prepared in front of you in the corner kitchen. It is cozy only seating a few tables, charming, and the true French experience. Go... More

We found La Fourchette here on Trip Advisor and ambled down the little alleyway to check it out a few hours before dinner time. We immediate saw why so many people found it charming, it's tucked away on a quiet street, is small and cozy, decorated with a sophisticated charm of an elegant country cottage with seasonal touches. Basically adorable.... More

Not a lot of choice but that makes it easy for many after a busy day. The choices the evening we were there were not exceptional BUT the fish entrée was tasty, as was the broccoli tomato tarte we started with. The escargot, have flavor and garlic, and the garlic did not, in any way, overpower the snails. We shared... More

this restaurant is among a few lined up across from the castle. There are tables outside and it is a very pleasant dinner outside in the summer months well into late October. The food is good, as well as the wine, service is gracious, it is a tad bit more elegant than its neighbors.

What a joy it was to discover such a hidden treasure in this little gem of a restaurant in Amboise, La Fourchette. I own a restaurant, The Patio, in San Diego, and understand how challenging it is to run such a unique establishment. We enjoyed every aspect of the restaurant; its quiet and charming location, its small size, its authenticity,... More

Make a reservation right away. Really tiny place with a limited menu. The mother and daughter hustle and put out a fabulous meal! They do it without rushing so you don't feel rushed at all. Cute little place we would highly recommend it
