My wife and I had just finished our visit to Clos Luce and it was 2:30PM. Per normal, particularly in November all the restaurants had closed for the afternoon after the lunch hour. We found this Patisserie open and are glad we did. They served from a nice menu in a warm (fireplace) dining area with friendly service. My wife... More

We were in Amboise during our one-year celebration of our marriage. This sweet restaurant caught our sight and we went inside to have a quick-snack but we stayed for at least one hour. Good service and good food. The omelette is delicious, as is anything you could order. And the cookies, ah, the cookies ... mouth-watering and also a delight... More

The best macaroons in France. Lovely stop for brunch/tea very close to Chateau Amboise and in a lovely touristy lane.

Fine coffee, lovely pâtisseries, friendly service, a great selection of chocolates and a nice old building - we had another lovely breakfast here!

What a selection of pastries and candy made there. The chocolate is smooth and not to be missed, nor the eclairs, or the omelettes for breakfast. Did I mention the pain au chocolat? The croissant? The confiture? Sublime. A lovely place for breakfast, for tea, for one piece of chocolate (ha!) to give one stamina to continue shopping or sightseeing.

A very delightful lady gave us a "tour" of the numerous pastries and explained each one in great detail. Our group of 6 returned each day to enjoy the many options. Their chocolates are wonderful too!

When my family or friends come to visit, I drop them off at the castle across the way and sit at Bigot for a couple hours. I can only handle seeing the same tapestries so many times. But the pastries here are so delicious - i just can't get enough of them. The coffee has so much flavor. It's served... More

We ordered the ham & cheese "pizza" but it was far more than we expected: it was more like a flat, rectangular croissant than a pizza "pie." Buttery and smooth - it was amazing.

Everyone deserves a break after touring the wonderful Amboise Chateau and Le Bigot couldn't be better. its a challenge to make a choice here: inside or outside seating; ice cream or pastry; chocolate or apple; a selection of mini pastries and quiche or a single slice; and what flavor of hot tea? The pastry cases are a work of art.
