Great value, excellent food, atmosphere ++

I took my wife here for her birthday dinner on one of our two nights in Dijon. Both our meals were excellent and the staff were very helpful and spoke good English.

Delicious unpretentious meal served in a traditional setting. Excellent grilled meat on an open fire. Very tasty. Reasonable prices too.

My partner took me here for my birthday lunch. The resto specializes in grilled meat, but the escargot was amazing and so was the pink Champagne. The service was very friendly and the prices were great. Since they're in the Burgundy region, the wine list was extensive. I loved my meal and so did my partner. I'd love to go... More

we were recommended this restaurant by a nearby bar owner, (L'assommoir tome 11), if we wanted a really good French meal, we were not disappointed, a little bit formal, but good polite staff, very polite and informative, a great wine list, anything from cheap carafe wine to some great Burgundy over 600 euro's a bottle!, a lovely old building, the... It served unpretentious traditional food at a reasonable price. We chose meat dishes - the bavette steak was tasty although a little tough.

I have the same the all the time and really wish I could get something different. But I just can't , and feel as if I'm cheating if I dare have something else. Had a great dinner last weekend at Le Sauvage. The atmosphere is relaxed and warm, with very good service, careful presentation of the dishes and yet not pretentious. The selection from the grill is mouthwatering and really good value for money. Many locals were filling the room, which is usually a positive sign. Would definitely recommend it!

We choose the because it was a sunday in august, and all other better rated restaurants were closed. On the positive: It's a nice location with a good terasse overlooking a courtyard. The interior was also very cosy and romantic. to be improved: Very expensive wines, and when you ask a recommedation, the show the most expensive one I received... More

A very good quality grill in a quiet courtyard. Good service and a big wine list to suit every pocket. We were a party of four and all were well satisfied. Good service. Would recommend.
