The food and service were worthy of one Michelin star but perhaps not two. The room was lacking atmosphere and was strangely empty on a Tuesday for lunch. The food ranged from brilliant to not quite there. Overall a bit expensive. If you went there not knowing of the two stars you would be blown away. But with expectations raised... More

One expects perfection at a 2 star Michelin Restaurant and that is not what we got here when they served me with a partially cooked "carabinero" prawn, which I only noticed after I had eaten half of it. Apologetic they were for sure but at the end of the meal I was seriously unimpressed when they asked me to pay... More

When you reserve at a Michelin 2-star restaurant, it's fair to expect an unforgettable experience in terms of not only the menu and the food preparation but also the decor and service. Our lunch at Wm. Franchot, which lasted three hours, completely fulfilled our expectations but leaves me scratching my head as to how this could only be the #2... More

Where to start? A word of advice, book the restaurant when you book the hotel. We arrived on the Saturday afternoon and there were several guests booking in who were disappointed to discover the restaurant was fully booked. Given the quality I suspect this would be the case every time. Moving on. The dining area is tastefully decorated and the... More

Well done from start to finish. Every course was beautifully presented and better than the last. The Lamb and kale were crazy good!

We were staying at the hotel where the restaurant is located and were not aware that at the Best Western there would be a 2 start Michelin restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised to get in for dinner. We came down a little early so we went in to the bar for an aperitif. They started us on an amuse bouche... More

We booked to stay at the attached hotel (which was actually very nice) in order that we could have a meal at Frachot. Unfortunately, the whole dining experience was rather poor, save for an excellent lemon dessert. The room appears to be a rather poorly converted store room or ex-shop and lacks any of the refinement you would expect from... More

This was one of the best meals I've had in my life but not *the* best. From the lovely brioche, the multiple delicate Amuse-bouche, to the beautifully prepared mains, everything was perfectly prepared, subtly textured, and melt-in-the-mouth. We had the short menu which was sufficient with a couple of servings of bread. The service was initially very friendly and prompt... More

Escargot, oysters and truffle...oh my! What is there not to like? From the presentation to the blends of herbs in each mouthful, I experienced an array of dishes prepared for my group that quite simply left me breathless! If you make the trip to Dijon, this restaurant cannot be missed.

Second visit to dijon this year and this time we reserved a table in the restaurant a room in the hotel. Skipped the tasting menus and just ordered a 'modest' meal a la carte. We had so any amuse bouches and entremets they outnumbered the excellent main courses (milk fed lamb and sea bass). When we skipped coffee to go... More
