Good, but not great choice

We were a bit desperate looking for a meal on a Sunday night. We found ourselves here. It was good but not a great choice. The tables were metal as were the chairs and were a bit uncomfortable. The meal itself was fine - but nothing great. I will say the dessert was one of the best we've had in... read more

Fabulous evening, vibey restaurant on a very quite Sunday night in Dijon. Don't miss this one... Situated on a great little square.

We were recommended this restaurant as one of the few open on a Sunday. It was ok but nothing to rave about. We had the escargot casserole which is more like an escargot mushroom soup which was good. The main dishes were not so good. Gnocchi was good but the beef that went with it was chewy. The petit Camembert... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel we were staying at. We ended up eating here twice, both times on a Sunday when many things were closed. The ambiance was great and this is a fun and relaxed place with hip staff who were friendly and helpful. The steak was fantastic as were the desserts. It was affordable... More

The receptionist at my hotel recommended this restaurant. On a Sunday night in Dijon, it was just as well he did as most other restaurants were closed. The restaurant was quite quiet when we arrived but soon filled up and it was not difficult to see why. The décor itself is très sympa, the staff efficient and friendly, the service quick... More

Visited this restaurant last year, and this year come again. Still, a local restaurant without Michelin style, I like it part because of this. Come to a small town should enjoy a more traditional approach. This time, we get a English menu. Very busy nite at Friday, a night before Valentine Day, but they still not miss out your request... Arriving in Dijon on a Sunday late afternoon is not the best day to find a restaurant for dinner! So we were glad to walk past the L'Epicerie and get seated and served very quickly. The food was excellent, the service very friendly, and we were surprised to see how large and very pretty the interior actually is!

Pick the local dishes -- they have a little snail next to them. My friend got the salmon and I got the worker's lunch box (I think that's the translation) which is a beef stew, with a side of gnocchi in cheese sauce. Words cannot describe how yummy. We shared an apple tart that was out of this world. A... More

In the old town's delightful square, named after legendary French writer Emile Zola, this restaurant has all of Zola's best attributes. It's moody and sophisticated. Intelligent and charismatic. (And I got all that just from the decor). It's as though it hasn't been designed but it's just evolved over decades of intense political and social debate including many bottles of... More

We were excited by the menu options. The selection sounded wonderful, but when the food came, it just didn't match up to our expectations. While the food wasn't bad, it wasn't great either. It has a lot of potential to be fantastic, but currently falls short. Service again was good, but could be better. Friendly staff, but they didn't quite... More
