The young waitress was extremely nice and helpful, trying very hard to explain to us the menu with her limited English :) The escargots were very good. The creme brûlée was superb!

The desk at the Mercure recommended this delightful spot which is a 10 minute walk..we needed it on the way home. Escargots were perfect, but don't dare order anything but water, bubbles,or white to wash them down. Had two varieties of scallops as mains, one a mousseline, and the presentation, textures, and flavours were wonderful. Can't describe the decadent desserts because... More

We were recommended by our hotel to dine here but the night was not great. We were well looked after by a young waitress but equally treated with arrogance by an older woman. We tried the Degustation menu and it was on the whole quite ordinary. All in all I wouldn't go back again.

Small restaurant with great food. Though the name reveals the main theme (escargots), many more dishes can be tasted for the ones, like me, not fond of them. Delicious food, well presented dishes, nice and warm service and an excellent rate quality/price are the reasons why this place is really worth the visit. Some points could be improved (the opening... More

We arrived without a reservation, but were made welcome. Service is slightly stiff, with the staff obviously in awe of Madame. Food was excellent, including the snails. The only oddity was that the boeuf bourgignon was garnished with bunches of cold vine tomatoes. We felt that these were an entirely inappropriate garnish to a dish like this, and that the... More

The food was ok at L'Escargot but we've had better. The decor feels cold and the service is slap happy at best. Definitely NOT romantic and classic. We were served food by (we think) the owner at the same time as she was talking on the phone (she had it wedged between her shoulder and ear). No explanation of the... More

This is a lovely friendly family run restaurant in central dijon. Based on our experience, it seems to specialise in snails which many customers were tucking into. Traditional french fare beautifully presented. My daughters tried out Persillade and my partner had snails. I had had a magificent beef bourginon for main. The food was rich and plentiful. Only negative was... More

Very happy with the food and service at this restaurant. Escargots were lovely!! Good value for money, the sort of place you don't think exists anymore in France. Not a tourist trap (lots of locals eating) but very friendly to this Brit. Restaurants like this are what makes holidays in France so lovely...
