Go and eat

Great food, reasonably priced. We had the three course fixed price menu which was well worth it and were both comfortably, if not slightly uncomfortably, full afterwards. Service was a bit

We spent a sunny, enjoyable few days in Dijon last week. We liked this lovely Bourgogne restaurant so much that we ate there on two occasions (evening meals from the 3 course menu). Great value. The food was lovingly prepared and served politely. Great wine list, sold by bottle or carafe. Gilles and Carmen were great hosts and they took... More

The young waitress was extremely nice and helpful, trying very hard to explain to us the menu with her limited English :) The escargots were very good. The creme brûlée was superb!

The desk at the Mercure recommended this delightful spot which is a 10 minute walk..we needed it on the way home. Escargots were perfect, but don't dare order anything but water, bubbles,or white to wash them down. Had two varieties of scallops as mains, one a mousseline, and the presentation, textures, and flavours were wonderful. Can't describe the decadent desserts because... More

We were recommended by our hotel to dine here but the night was not great. We were well looked after by a young waitress but equally treated with arrogance by an older woman. We tried the Degustation menu and it was on the whole quite ordinary. All in all I wouldn't go back again.

Small restaurant with great food. Though the name reveals the main theme (escargots), many more dishes can be tasted for the ones, like me, not fond of them. Delicious food, well presented dishes, nice and warm service and an excellent rate quality/price are the reasons why this place is really worth the visit. Some points could be improved (the opening... More

We arrived without a reservation, but were made welcome. Service is slightly stiff, with the staff obviously in awe of Madame. Food was excellent, including the snails. The only oddity was that the boeuf bourgignon was garnished with bunches of cold vine tomatoes. We felt that these were an entirely inappropriate garnish to a dish like this, and that the... More

The food was ok at L'Escargot but we've had better. The decor feels cold and the service is slap happy at best. Definitely NOT romantic and classic. We were served food by (we think) the owner at the same time as she was talking on the phone (she had it wedged between her shoulder and ear). No explanation of the... More
