Deservedly popular with the local crowd

To kick off our trip to Dijon and Beaune, we wanted to have lunch at someplace good, central, and informal. We looked at the menus at the various restaurants around Dijon's central market and this seemed to be the right mix of what we were looking for. And it was moderately priced. Very nice and tasty meal. However, please make sure that you make a reservation as it gets very busy during lunch and dinner :)

The food was good, simple, easy to choose and the staff very friendly. Do make sure to reserve a table, or you might end up disappointed. It gets busy, so you might end up waiting a bit and the space is definitely not for claustrophobes as it gets very full of people.

5 star cuisine at all around reasonable prices, this restaurant is worthy of not only a Michelin star but also a Yokohama Prize, Goodyear award and Firestone Medal. A modern-chic restaurant enviroment in the heart of Dijon, an owl's hoot away from the superb indoor market, this restaurant delivers a mixture of local food with a twist and the finest... More

This restaurant was recommended by the Michelin guide, also by our hotel owner. It's a modern bistrô, in front of the market, a region with a high concentration of restaurants in Dijon. I had scargots and the Boeuf Bourgoignaise, both traditional from the region. Both excelent. My wife ordered the 4 course dinner menu, it came with a fish with... More

Next to the Dijon foodmarket, designed bij local Eifel , indeed form the famous tower in Paris, you find the restaurants door to door. At Dz Envies it's always busy and especially for lunch on saturdays (ourt favorite time, as it feels like the weekend is here in person) it is a good idea to make a reservation. The food... More

The food was fantastic, so beautifully presented, like a work of art, flavours were superb. I cannot remember the last time I enjoyed a restaurant so much. Everything in this place seemed to have been thought out with such care and attention to detail. The staff were both warm and extremely professional. I want to come back and do it... More

I loved the option of having 3-4-or-5 courses. I got 4 and my friend got 5 and we shared his 5th course, it was the best one out of them all! If I remember correctly, it was a provencal-style mousse served as an intermezzo. I don't normally like anything with olives, but this was divine. The first course was foie... More

A nice relaxed restaurant, tasty food but perhaps trying a little too hard and not quite hitting the mark. Unfortunately our chicken was slightly undercooked.
