Great lunch

Warm, welcoming and busy. Good menu with imaginative combinations. Quality produce prepared and presented with care and artistry. Wine list (presented on an iPad) provides good range of knowledgeably selected wines that are not at stellar prices. Excellent value for money. Will go again... read more

A nice relaxed restaurant, tasty food but perhaps trying a little too hard and not quite hitting the mark. Unfortunately our chicken was slightly undercooked.

Une cantine chic, a contemporary bistro in a very urban setting in the heart of Dijon. Simple decor, casual atmosphere and exceptional cuisine at low prices. On the menu are all traditional Burgundy dishes, jambon persillé, oeufs en meurette, joue de boeuf à la Bourguignonne, authentic yet inventive, delicious with an expert touch. The pleasure is essential, a must if... More

My husband got Boeuf Bourguignon, said the sauce was terrific and the rest was good. No vegetarian choices, so I got pricey salad. It was OK, nothing special. Apple tart dessert was the worst we got in France, not worth the calories or money. Waiter stood nearby for much of meal, but plates sat empty for quite a while. DZ'Envies... More

Judging by the queue we thought it must be a good place. We had to reserve for a 10pm slot and it was worth the late dinner. The lobster salad was more than generous and the foie gras the best I have had in a long time. The dos cabillaud (cod) was huge and cooked to perfection. The joue boeuf... More

After an awkward start (we stopped by earlier to make a reservation and they didn't seem to be interested), dinner was wonderful. I had the 3 course menu (salmon, duck, apple tarte) and my husband had the same but with an escargot dish as an additional course. Wine selection (of the day, as I recall) was great. The location is... More

The front desk at our hotel recommended this restaurant and made reservations for us. It was a good thing because when we got there, they were turning walkins away. Our waiter was not great at English but we knew enough menu French to understand the menu. The decor is modern but we ate outside where they have a covered and... More

First night in beautiful Dijon and recommended this place by a local - god knows why! Decor is like a food court, the food is tasteless and the menu pretentious. Everything on the menu seemed to be deconstructed and over worked to a point where the dishes had lost any integrity they might otherwise have had. We had boeuf bourguignon... More

We loved the modern cheery decor. The young staff seemed a little distant, possibly having difficulty with my rusty French. I chose quite robust food, underestimating the portion sizes of the meats. I started with a very meaty ham terrine and having spent the day travelling I soon felt satisfied which was a shame. The restaurant is by the market... More

Excellent place across from Les Halles (local outdoor market). We ate there for lunch and our entire party of five all loved their selections. Service was excellent and efficient. Highly recommended.
