Best salmon tartare I've ever had

We visited Dijon for New Year's Eve. I'd been having a really bad trip, but that night everything changed. For the very first bite my semblance changed! It was delicious from beginning to end. We had the New Year's Eve menú. It consisted in 5 courses. But was the 3rd course I will never forget. It... read more

A friend of a friend who had been to Dijon previously highly recommended this restaurant so we made reservations (which are difficult to get) a few weeks before our trip. We were not sorry. We had a fantastic meal. My escargot and ham and parsley pieces in a puff pastry was amazing, and my wife`s salad with cheese was very... More

Translated to English means Why Not? Well hard to put my finger on it but there are several reasons why not! Advised by the restaurant to book at least two weeks in advance for a Friday night dinner and a month in advance for a Saturday night….and in truth it’s hard to see why. To be fair the service was... Ate here for dinner. Took the 3 cours menu with cheese platter for 28€. The goat cheese salad was excellent. The entrees and desserts were really good with good combination of flavours. The main dishes were ok. It was good and tasty and simple. The service was good. Recommend to reserve a table

It was very helpful that we read the tripadvisor comments concerning this restaurant beforehand. We tried to book a month in advance and found only one night that wasn't booked out. The meals were of a top quality that one could expect of a restaurant with this reputation and the service friendly

Long time since visit so short on details. Would definitely recommend. Very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The service is attentive and prompt, food is very good quality, with very good precision in the preparation and presentation. For the price I have absolutely never had better. Disagree with comparisons to top-level restaurants, but then, they do not try to be a "Michelin... More

We followed previous reviewers advice and booked a couple of weeks ahead to be sure of a table on a Saturday lunch time, which is now the only day they are open for lunch. They were fully booked when we got there. We received a relaxed and friendly welcome from the chef's wife and service was excellent throughout. The food... More

We were really thrilled with the meal we had at Au Pourqoui Pas - Dijon is known for its service being closer to Parisian standards (not always very polite), but this restaurant has great service and friendly staff. The wine selection was very good (and reasonably priced - 28 to 50 euros for a good bottle), and the food was... More

By far the best meal we have eaten in France, including several Michelin rated Paris restaurants that we dined in , was in this unrated by Michelin restaurant which is quite up to 4 stars at a 2 star menu price. Our 3 course dinner formule/25-28E, one setting, in this small, 12 table restaurant, rez required, was a sheer delight-presentation... More

Excellent meal in Dijon at Au pourquoi pas. Friendly service, and every dish was beautifully presented. Lots of fish and game choices, all elegantly prepared and delicious. The desserts were also great. For the quality of the food, the price was reasonable.
