Innovative, delicious and beautifully presented dishes in a first class location

Having last dined here in 1996, I was prepared for the experience to not live up to the expectations held in my memory. However, I need not have worried; the food is still as innovative and delicious, the wine list well curated and the service thoughtful and professional. We spent 3 hours here... read more

The challenge with writing this review is that there was nothing wrong with the meal and there were occasional highlights, just not enough. It just all felt rather mediocre from the table by the kitchen to the haphazard service through to the food which included lobster that was overcooked and lacked texture. The amuse bouche were delicious but I fear... More

I do not know what is in this restaurant better - quality of food, location, view of the market, courtesy of waiters, ... It is not cheap - but an experience that can not be forgotten. It's been almost a month, but I still clearly remember the taste of all meals. Certainly recommended!

The food, atmosphere and ambiance of this 1star -Michelin are wonderful here. The staff is charming and quite attentive; we ate a late dinner even by Dijon standards and the people-watching was still in full swing. I think that it's ALWAYS appropriate to order fish or chicken in France, and this restaurant does not disappoint. Following dinner, the chef came... More

We travel to France primarily to dine. We were extremely pleased with our dinner at Le Pré aux Clercs in Dijon. Although there is outdoor seating, we prefer to dine inside, and they honored our request. The maître d' was fluent in English and explained each course - many of which were complicated preparations - thoroughly, and if he did... More

This Michelin starred restaurant is quite formal, lovely with a promising menu. The trio of amuse bouche at the start wasn't overly wow, but we enjoyed the veloute served before the main. The rack of lamb was quite good though on the medium side (which was okay for me), the pigeon was tasty but again was a tad overcooked (medium,... More

Our top meal on our latest dining trip to France-we have been doing this since 1971. So we have hundreds of dining experiences to compare to-everything from many 3 star bastions of excess to bib gourmands trying to move up the ladder. This place-long a solid one star-has the smell of a place on the rise. With the father son... More

Perhaps too classic in many aspects, this restaurant however obviously tries very hard. Attentive staff, white table clothes, creative and high level cuisine. I t wasn't the best grastronomical meal ever but; in Dijon, for a special moment, why not?
