You Know What You're Going to Get... and That's a Good Thing!

Having read some reviews on TA we were somewhat reluctant to give this a try. It wasn't because of negatives of course (you don't get such a high ranking if you're constantly being panned) but only because I also like to try newer, cutting edge cuisine and not fall into the trap of the "old... read more

The title of my review is to be fair as we had no choice but their festive menu, but based on our meal on January 1st I would never go back to this restaurant again. There is no excuse whatsoever for a Michelin Starred chef to send out food like we had. Tasteless foie gras, dried out fish and a... More

We went on a Saturday at lunch. The staff, as per Michelin star standards, were impeccable and professional, but also friendly and personable (not snooty). The location was great, and the four course meal was just right. We had a little fois gras with creme brulée on top as an amuse bouche, a lentil salad with chicken and mango sauce,... More

Our hotel helped us get in here last minute on a Saturday night. We're so happy it worked out, it was one of the highlights of our trip so far. We had the tasting menu and loved every course. I especially loved the braised hate with potatoes, it's one of the best dishes I've ever had. Our servers were so... More

During my trip to Burgundy I had wonderful meals in lots of different restaurants, including several other Michelin starred ones. Unfortunately, this one was not up to standard. I now understand why this place was empty when others were full! The first impression was of cool, understated elegance, but there was no ambiance in the almost empty restaurant, and it... More

I'm giving this a rave review, because I came to the door at 5 pm, in jeans, and asked for a reservation for the same evening, and the lady behind the desk (probably one of the owners, judging by the small dog she had with her) graciously gave me a 7:30 reservation. My husband, daughter and I had a wonderful... More

I dined here 45 years ago and was delishted to find that it still is a great place to eat. Friendly, very attentive service, great setting with a lovely view of the Palais des Ducs. One thing that has changed is that the cuisine is much more inventive; e.g. an appetizer of tartare de canard: finely diced duck meat mixed... More

Having last dined here in 1996, I was prepared for the experience to not live up to the expectations held in my memory. However, I need not have worried; the food is still as innovative and delicious, the wine list well curated and the service thoughtful and professional. We spent 3 hours here being completely spoiled. An unmissable inclusion for... More

The challenge with writing this review is that there was nothing wrong with the meal and there were occasional highlights, just not enough. It just all felt rather mediocre from the table by the kitchen to the haphazard service through to the food which included lobster that was overcooked and lacked texture. The amuse bouche were delicious but I fear... More

I do not know what is in this restaurant better - quality of food, location, view of the market, courtesy of waiters, ... It is not cheap - but an experience that can not be forgotten. It's been almost a month, but I still clearly remember the taste of all meals. Certainly recommended!
