We stayed in a flat with two other couples and looking for a place to have dinner on our second night settled on Le Pre aux Clercs. Turned out to be our favorite restaurant of our 2.5 week vacation. Patrice and the staff were wonderful and the food and wine of equal quality. When it rained on Saturday we found... More

Looking for a snack for lunch after visiting the Ducal Palace in Dijon we were attracted by the crisp white tablecloths and sunshades of Le Pre Aux Clercs so decided to gIve it a try. Ordered only the foie gras, a glass of wine and a dessert but were treated to a four course lunch consisting of "bouche amusee #1"... More

We made our reservation online on the restaurant's website. We were two families travelling with 3 children under 12 and did not speak French. The service staff was great - we arrived earlier than the opening time and was allowed to wait in a little corner room - fortunate as it started to rain just after we arrived. Even though... More

food A+ service A Ambiance A charming setting by the plaza A Foie gras appetizer was as smooth, silky and delicious as it can be. Our rabbit main course was wonderful. The rabbit meat was pressed into thick round discs that were esthetic and easy to eat. Our friends enjoyed a fish main which was also perfect. One appetizer of... More

My girlfriend and i tried the lunch menu for just 32 euros yesterday, and it was a very good experience, but nothing extraordinary. The food was excellent, especially for the price, and it was very cozy sitting right at the Liberty square (and still feeling private). Noteworthy comments: The wine was great, and very cheap! (5-7e per glass) Very friendly... More

Superb food. Diner 57Euros, wine from low 20s. Each corse carefully presented, using both traditional and novel ingredients, e.g. An amuse bouche of crime caramel with sage. The best rabbit I've had in years. Thoughtful and helpful service. Happy to make great recommendations from the lower end of the wine list. All round memorable Brefniboy

We were absolutely pleased with the staff and the overall setting and decoration of the establishment. Being European food lovers and having quite some experience in fine cuisine, the place did not live up to our expectations. We choose the menu of 60 Euro pp, excl drinks ... do take into consideration that you need to add up another >100... More

An outstanding meal with service to match, innovative, fresh, artistic, layers of flavours, cannot speak highly enough of the team here, the wait staff were great, put up and encouraged our lousy French and smiled all the time whcih made for a very relaxed dinner. Had a fixed price meal and was also served 3 amuse bouche. Desserts to die... More

Dijon is well known for food (MFK Fisher's chronicle is one of my favorites) and Le Pre aux Clercs does not dissappoint. We were lovingly accommodated with our own dining room (with eight kids in tow!) for an Easter brunch. We were professionally served a sumptous Easter 'menu' to remember. Definitely worth the drive for Jean-Pierre Billoux's creations paired with... More

The restaurant is facing the Duke of Burgundy palace. You eat traditional "One Michelin star" food while admiring the palace through the windows. The food is very delicate. Staff is very efficient and at the same time very friendly making you feel at home. Norbert
