Wonderful experience

What a fabulous place! The food was wonderful. We went for the €79 Gourmet Menu. This is essentially a 7 course menu. Every course was beautifully cooked. The foie gras with apple tarte tartin was just heavenly. The menu represented great value too. It costs just £56 at current exchange... read more

There is always a lot to do about Michelin stars and their significance. But the star of this restaurant is fully deserved, as we experienced recently during our lunch. Stephane Derbord is a highly professional and solid French restaurant very close to the city centre of Dijon. The well experienced kitchen uses mostly traditional techniques for cooking mainly regional products.... More

We had booked a table at Stephane Debord months ahead, as we were stopping off in Dijon on holiday. We were a party of three. I was surprised how large the restaurant is, well placed on the outskirts of the city centre. We were greeted immediately and warmly by name on arrival, and shown to a good table, albeit at... More

Every single course was outstanding. Presentation, flavours, attention to details beyond praise. Service from every single person exceptional, and perfect ambiance. Michelin star well deserved! Enjoyed the whole experience thoroughly.

Out of all gourmet restaurants in the Bourgogne area this is definitely one of the bests. Food was amazing, service was attentive and presentation of the courses superb. One particular praise for the desserts including the pre and the post which were out of this world. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed a glorious meal at Stephane Derbord recently, worthy of the reputation of the chef. Modern decor and friendly staff backed up food of the highest calibre, with a voluminous wine list featuring the best of the region. Highlight was the pigeon, impeccable with the Cote de Nuit 1st cru recommended. At the end of the evening, great to see... More

We had booked a table at this restaurant before we went to Dijon for Easter. It was our first time in Burgundy and we are so glad we went there for dinner on Easter Saturday. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a taxi to take us there from our hotel for ages, but Mme Derbord was very helpful when we phoned the... More

The food is exceptionally good, the staff is attentive and very professional, the prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is calm and they do have the most expansive range of Armagnac that I have ever seen (from 1945)! Book a table, prepare to spend some hours, there is just one seating and people arrive at 8 and leave some time after... More

We tried many Michelin-star restaurants, but this one was the best by far! Everything was perfect, from the amouse-bouche to desert. Their foie-gras was perfect, meat perfectly cooked with black truffles on top. Their cheese selection is unbelievably good! We chose a menu that cost about 65 euros per person including entrees, plat, cheese and desert. The wines were a... More
