we came here for lunch for my birthday and were slightly dismayed by the lack of other diners. This meant that conversation was a bit hushed to say the least. It also meant however that we could hear every conversation that the front of house lady had on the phone at the desk just behind our table; interestingly, she kept... More

The tasting menu included noix de St. Jaques with pumpkin, hazelnut oil and crunchy salad, the main plate a roasted hare with incredibly rich sauce, black truffles, cabbage, and pain d'epices. Service was very helpful and attentive, and at the same time made me feel comfortable and "at home": warm interaction. Very fine wine list, but pricey; the Puligny Montrachet... More

The menus are definitely recommendable. For this level I had expected some more work on certain details (vegetables served for the starter need more attention) , but overall it was very good. The desserts were amazing, both in taste as presentation. Take some time for the most complete wine menu of Dijon! We had a €60 2010 Marsannay "Clos du... More

Went for lunch knowing the reviews, the Michlen star and the prices, was worth every euro! Lovely, elegant setting, food is first rate, outstanding presentation, staff was attentive, formal, yet friendly and helpful. Spoke excellent english and happy to help with menu, selections. Quiet, elegant, no hurry, classic French food, not cheap but not outrageous for what you get. Well... More

My wife and I stayed in Dijon for a few days this summer and had our last meal here. It was a great meal. We ordered the 3 course meal, and in hindsight, we wish we had gotten the 2 course version instead. The 3 course one is only 10E more per person so we thought "Why not?" We started... More

I'm hoping M. Derbord wasn't there last night, his first open after a closed week, because our experience flies in the face of all these consistently great reviews. The presentation was worthy of Michelin stars, but that was it. Three faulted of four entree/main plates and less than observant staff despite a nearly empty restaurant. Foie gras dried out well... Superb way to break a trip to Dijon. Flawless cuisine and decent wine list although time and driving meant we did not enjoy wine here. Chef's creations are excellent.

This was one of the best culinary experiences that I have had in my life. The restaurant is rated with a michelin star. We choose the country cooking and creation menu and it was SUPERB. The food had an excellent presentation and the taste and flavors were amazing. I loved that they started by giving us samples of the chef... More

My wife and I with her old school friend and her husband had a wonderful experience of genuine French eating. The food was excellent, a great selection of wines and the service was impeccable. No where else in France over our 4 week visit compared to Stephane Derborg. We found it excellent value for money. My wife and I went... More
