I read the TA reviews prior to our visit. The restaurant was recommended by our hotel Les Jardin de Lois. I wanted Burgundian food. Wow! You must make a reservation. You cannot call before 6pm. If you show up w/o a reservation, expect to be turned away. The portions are not large. Everything is cooked to perfection. I had the... More

The service was friendly & helpful, & the waitress spoke good English........however, the beef Bourguignon in both my wife's & my opinion, had been cooked too quickly and therefore was too fatty and meat not soft as in other restaurants. Wine was very expensive although a good selection. The escargot were divine with freshly baked bread, the tomato gazpacho soup... More

I found this restaurant on TA and our b&b highly recommended it upon our arrival. We were lucky to get a reservation. The restaurant is very small with one waitress and one cook and a very limited menu. However the service was very good. We shared an order of escargot and the eggs poached in red wine. Both were very... More

I telephoned the previous day to make the reservation, and although the restaurant was closed for its annual holiday until the following morning, I left a message and the reservation was honoured. The only people working in the restaurant are the two owners - the wife works the front of house and the husband is in the kitchen. The atmosphere... More

After a couple of disappointing meals elsewhere this was a relief. Friendly waitress, good food at reasonable price....so good we returned the next evening. Recommended!

We ate here at the recommendation of our hotel & LOVED our meal. My beef came with the BEST au gratin potatoes I have ever had in my life. (The cheese smelled absolutely horrible, but they say the smelliest cheeses are often the best!) Everything was delicious, & the woman who runs the restaurant with her husband (the chef) is... More

Small friendly French restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Beef bourgignon was rich and flavorful, flaming vanilla crème brulé was fantastic to finish with.

I reserved 14 places for dinner last week and was most impressed initially with the hostess/ receptionist. She was incredibly patient, the food was great and naturally the wine list was worthy.

We walked in with no reservation at 19:45, and within 15 minutes there were no tables left, and the waitress turned away numerous other would be diners. The escargot was fantastic, the beef bourguignon was delicious, and the desserts almost wiped us out (three cheeses and the eclair). A special mention must go to our charming waitress, who managed the... More

It is a small restaurant so reservations are important. The hostess was really nice and spoke many languages. The food is prepared as you order so don't think you will be in and out in 1 hour. It is a dining experience from start to finish. They have an excellent selection of wines....you are in Beaune!!! We had the beef... More
