Le Goret (young pig) is well named. All the decorations are pigs - little ones everywhere. All the food is likewise pig. The well nourished chef and owner describes your choices - in French; no written menu. If you don't have any French there are always binlinguals around to see you through. My wife had a huge pork steak smothered... More

Le Goret came highly recommended and didn't disappoint. We were warmly greeted by staff & settled in very quickly. Chef came to table & we were happy to go with his recommendation...lots of pork! Our kids (13, 10 & 8) scoffed the lot & gave high praise. Food was good, but the ambience was excellent. All in all a very... More

This is a wonderful restaurant. It is best to make a reservation - we arrived for lunch without a reservation, and they had to work very hard to squeeze us in, but they did. So 4 of us enjoyed a most marvelous meal - we had the platter that includes all 5 or 6 different kinds of pork products that... More

Monsieur was great fun, larger than life, but food was huge on quantity, low on quality. Only have one course. If you want American vast quantities then search no further. If you want quality, then search further. Okay it's hit the zeitgeist and a snail free menu must be good, but you need to be tired of French food to... More

If you want a local, small place, this is it! Chef comes out and tells your your options for the day and you order with him...he cooks it then its delivered! Amazing food and TONS of it...go hungry! Chef and the others are so sweet and really accommodating to those of us who do not speak or understand French! Make... More

This rustic, family run, pork specialty restaurant was one of the food highlights of our France trip. We had a dish of a very thick cured pork chop smothered in melted local Epoisses cheese (pron. epp-warz). There was a small side salad, bread, deep fried potatoes and some token garnish. The pork was perfectly tender with a wonderful flavour. This food... More

There are much better restaurants in Beaune with finesse and exciting menus however I had a fun time here, huge portions, the chef/owner is super friendly and really knows how to cook pig! probably the worst/smallest wine list in Beaune...

Found this by using this site. Was afraid I wouldn't be able to get a seat so ran over when it opened, AT 1930!. The big burly chef came out and spoke with me, and said he'd be happy have the three of us. Ran back to the centrally located apartment and retrieved the folks. Dad, as we are not... More

if you don't eat pork then look somewhere else! I love pork so I was right at home from the moment we walked into this quirky and charming restaurant. Its handy to know some French however the staff are accommodating and amusing. The chef, a rotund and jovial character explains the menu, takes your order and often serves as well!... More

Went here on a trip advisor recommendation last night. Had an absolutely fantastic meal. The host was extremely friendly and accommodating when we showed up without reservations. The chef was great in explaining the dishes to my wife who does not speak any french. We each had a cote du porc with a side of foie gras. Both were absolutely... More
