Loved our "Voyager" selections. We were given a choice of about 6 small bites/plates from around the world. Each item was incredibly tasty and looked like an artistic creation. Our server explained the foods to us and talked to us about the typical French foods. We were given a complimentary glass of local sweet wine to top off our meal.... More

We found ourselves in Beaune on a Saturday evening, walking to try to find a restaurant in the rain. The first several locations we tried (all from the TripAdvisor top 10 for Beaune) were all closed. Via Mokis was a bit further out from where we were walking, but we decided to try it - and luckily for us, they... More

Really great traditional food with a modern twist in an intimate and friendly atmosphere. Had a great duck dish and was well looked after by Mark on a few sensational Burgundies. :-)

We had booked a table at Via Mokis as I had read great reviews and wanted to see if it was good. We had the set menu - Voyage - which was great with very interesting flavours and balance between the dishes. The team were great and we had a good chat with the owner who was very nice and... More

After having two superb meals at Mokis we a booked to have dinner during the August vacation time...our dinner was average at best. Having said that, I must comment on our previous.visits..which were exceptional! The food was wonderful, service perfect... Definitely more than POSITIVE dining experiences... I am hoping the Chef was a temporary for vacation-time and that it was... More

We found the service good and the personnel friendly. Food was ok, nothing special and nothing that justifies the fact of being on all tourist guides. Restaurant was empty, but we were seated in a back room, not the same design of the main room and not ad nice...

As residents of Beaune we hadn't visited Via Mokis before and we were looking forward to it. Unfortunately we (the four of us) found the food to be poor and expensive. The amuse-bouche had been salted by a heavy handed individual, my courgette soup was incredibly bitter and my simple chicken supreme was pan fried to to the point of... More

I don't understand the whole fuss about this restaurant and therefore this is going to be a detailed review. We arrived extremely hungry after quite a bit of research through our various guide books where this restaurant was highly recommended. We were very pleased to find it not fully booked, actually almost empty. The interior looked modern, clean and very... More

The entire experience was wonderful! The food was delicious and beautifully presented! We did the price fix menu and it was well worth it. The duck was delicious! The fish was fabulous. The service was great. I would definitely go again! Make a reservation using TripAdvisor--it was easy.
