Fine wine, excellent food, great cheese plate

Skip the wine tours and sample fine burgundy wines by the glass here, including a couple of Gevrey Chambertins. Regional Beouf Bourguignon solid and seasonal Salmon excellent. Cheese plate selection a highlight-not to be missed. Friendly place. Ate there two nights in a row. Attentive waiters... read more

I don't know if it was because we are young people... or because we are English but the service here was AWFUL. They ignored us when we came in so we sat ourselves down, which my boyfriend and I think may have been the catalyst to their disgusting conduct towards us but who knows. When asking for a menu (after... More

With starters at 8-9 euro and mains around the 17 euro mark this Bistrot offers average eats at a standard Beaune premium. However they have an excellent wine list and have many wines by the glass. Friendly owners work the room with aplomb while expect to see wine dealers and merchants flogging their wares to groups of visiting wine buyers... More

Top notch wine selections, and excellent food. Don't miss the grilled shrimp in pancetta (Gambas). In the town center, and many wines by the glass. Fun atmosphere, friendly owner.

We were hoping a restaurant that was eponymous with the area and was known for the dish of this region would have the wind at its back. T'was not to be, this wind blew in our faces where we unfortunately were putting the main course. The waiter was barely able to stay focused on our service and, as an example,... More

We've been to Le Bistrot quite a few times over the years, same owners all that time. It has lots of character and is a fun place to go to. What's best about it: there are a dozen or so bottles by the glass available, and it's lot of fun to work your way through a few over a lazy... More

A great little bistro, unpretentious, with lots of locals dropping in and chatting, quiet jazz playing in the background and a very pleasant meal. And the wine list had a range of great wines by the glass which were quite inexpensive. We would definitely return.

Nice little bistro right in the middle of Beaune. Good, quality but fairly basic food and not too pricey given the area. Obviously the house red wine was excellent.

Liked - the good food and its good value. Disliked - one of the waiters had a front tooth so rotten you could smell it when he set the table. Off-putting, to say the least.

Wonderful experience at a lovely little bistrot in Beaune. A locals place, full of friends catching up, and enjoying each other's company. We ordered the Beef Bourguignon and the Coquilles St. Jacques - both wonderfully prepared and very flavorful. Notwithstanding a bit of a language barrier, our server understood our wine preferences, and their selections were the perfect choice for... More
