We booked dinner for Sunday evening during our stay in Beaune. The restaurant was very busy as being a Sunday many restaurants were closed. We waited nearly forty minutes for our starter and another thirty minutes for our main course by which time frustration crept in and somewhat marred our evening. Having said that our main courses of steak were... More

Visited with some friends. We were tourists, albeit conscientious and French-speaking ones. The service team joked that this was not a pizzeria and we would have to actually wait for our food, I assume to encourage us to find another restaurant. An anomaly in otherwise delightful service in Beaune.

After doing all my research at home and making several reservations, our B&B highly recommended this restaurant and we're glad they did. It was incredible! Located just outside the city walls and an easy walk from any point in the city. We had an early reservation so we had very good service. Our meal, I can't tell you what we... More

The meal was fantastic, 29 Euros for a 4-course meal (the Burgundian Delight menu) ! For the first course we had Oeufs Pochés en Meurette (Poached Eggs in Red Wine) and Jambon Persillé de Bourgogne (Ham and Parsley Terrine). We both had the same for the remaining 3 courses: Cocotte de Bœuf Bourguignon Charolais; 2 local cheeses (Epoisse Berthaut and... More

1. Recommended by our B&B. Grilled steaks and such. I had the best Burgoigne Beuf I've ever had, and my date had a filet mignon that rivaled and USA steakhouse. 2. Interesting wine list of every local Burgundy wine you would ever want. 3. This place is full of locals, not tourists. Hence, there's little English spoken but they did... More

We had a small dinner with good food and atmosphere and decent prices. We arrived without a reservation but there was no problem finding a table. We ate a bass fillet with excellent risotto and a very good pate.

Waited for almost an hour for the main course and seems no one want to care about this. The food was below standard, all ducks (3 dishes) had been over-cooked. Disappointed!!

We had a late-night dinner here and had a braised beef dish and one of us had beef Bourgogne. A return visit would merit the Bourgogne, which was rich and flavorful. The poached pear dessert was spectacular. This place adds cassis to a number of dishes and it added a great rouch. The wine list is extensive (although almost exclusively... More

Very good food at very realistic prices. As you might expect from the name, they specialise in beef. And, yes it is very good. If you like your beef rare, as I do, but find it gets a bit cool - they'll pop it back on the grill, right there in the restaurant, for you . I think the young... More

Can't understand why this place is so far down the rankings. We were served by the infamous 'Glasses Waitress' and she was great, they all were great. Beautiful bottles of wine came by recomendation. The electronic menu in different langauges was a good idea. Starters, mains and deserts were all terrific. Good end to a trying day. Reasonable prices. I'm... More
