Very good food at very realistic prices. As you might expect from the name, they specialise in beef. And, yes it is very good. If you like your beef rare, as I do, but find it gets a bit cool - they'll pop it back on the grill, right there in the restaurant, for you . I think the young... More

Can't understand why this place is so far down the rankings. We were served by the infamous 'Glasses Waitress' and she was great, they all were great. Beautiful bottles of wine came by recomendation. The electronic menu in different langauges was a good idea. Starters, mains and deserts were all terrific. Good end to a trying day. Reasonable prices. I'm... More

We were drawn by the massive open fire. Enjoyed the steaks, well cooked served with fries and tomato. A little disappointing that the menu stated ratatouille but this was not available. Husbands beef Bourgogne was "the best he had tasted", and mopped up with some chunky bread. A limited list of wines by the glass but nevertheless a nice drop.... More

When we walked in and saw 2x1kg + steaks in the grill we were excited. The grill gives the whole place a lovely warm smokey glow and yes the service is leisurely but really friendly and we had plenty or wine to enjoy. The food was really good and generous 4 good courses for 28€ was more than I could... More

My wife and I totally endorse and agree with the review by Chants 1967. We had the same waitress! Given the amount of time it took to serve us two courses (we enjoy a leisurely dinner but that was a joke) we decided it wise to give dessert a miss. Our plates were left on the table after we had... My husband and I ate here on our first night in Beaune at the recommendation of our B&B host. I ordered the steak, my husband started with a half dozen escargots and as a main, had the boeuf Bourguignon. In a part of France known for it's beef, I have to say that I was rather disappointed with my steak.... More

If it wasn't for the rude, uncaring waitress (the one wearing glasses), we could have had a pleasant dinner. She had such a bad attitude towards English-speaking people, it was appalling! Even though one of our party members spoke French, our arrogant waitress couldn't be bothered. The menus were also available in English, however we only found this out when... More

Don't go. Very disappointing. The restaurant is on a road next to traffic lights and the fumes coming in made us ill. The staff couldn't be bothered. The head chef, man of the place miserable. And all that for a lot of money. Oh and chips where ready made, food average, wine overpriced.

We could have had a delightful dinner but for our surly, huffy puffy waitress. Truly management needs to replace her immediately. We came in and were met by a perfectly charming man whom I believe was the owner. He was gracious and accommodating. We expected a nice experience...but were a bit sadden by the fact it was Monday and our... More

We had just arrived in Beaune and our BnB recommended us to go to Piqu'Boef, as it was a good place and also had the advantage of being open on a Sunday. As most restaurants are closed Sunday and Monday, reservations are recommended those two days, or you have to show up right when they open at 7 pm. We... More
