Great food and service

I thought the food was fantastic, which can be expected in small town France. We all chose the tasting menu, I have lots of duck- a personal favorite! Service was also quick and elegant. There wasn't much ambiance though. While the whole cave decor was neat, I found it lacking a lot. Also, because... read more

We went to this restaurant for a dinner last saturday. The starters were good, based on cheese. The two main courses were terrible: the pork filet was boiled (22€), with no taste, the 'tournedos rossini' was no a filet, and were overcooked and cut in two parts... We asked to reprepare it and they did (they were sorry, at least!)... More

We have been to the L'Incontournable before. It was excellent. As that was the case, we returned. It is even better. Really, one of the best meals we have ever had. Service, food, presentation, wine list, all first rate. This place makes the concept of the Michelin stars obsolete as it is first rate in every respect. It is a... More

Absolutely loved this place. It was recommended by a local owner of b & B La Maison Blanche. She even made reservations for us. The restaurant is located in a care, which makes it very unique and cozy. Chef came out to introduce himself and was interested in our reaction of the dishes that followed. The food was amazing! The restaurant is located on Rue Carnot, the main Beaune walking street; to reach it, you’ll have to go down along a flight, since l’Inconturnable is inside an underground cellar. Ambient seems to be refined, with basic classy furniture and a cocoon-like environment; a nice swing background music completes the picture. The restaurant is split into two dining rooms, not... What a great meal. No this isn't Michelin 3 star, but it is fabulous. We have been eating out in Beaune for years and last night was definitely one of the very best meals. Small but adequate wine list, small menu, but everything is covered. Very good choices on the Prix fix menu. Everyone in our group raved about the... More

The restaurant is in a former wine cellar underground. Service is very friendly and welcoming. the menus are decent value and food is ok but nothing special. We had a goat cheese salad that was a bit too creatively spiced with indian cumin/curcuma, a strange combination. Main course was not great and dessert was plain.

Dined here in March 2013, and yhe food was excellent. I decided to stick with a fixed menu which included a salad with warm and spicy goat cheese, a main coures of veal with mushroom sauce and gratin, a platter if regional cheeses and an apple tart for dessert. All the courses were well prepared and the service was excellent.... More
