Great place for lunch

La Ciboulette is a typical french restaurant, located in the north of Beaune. Even though is not very close to the center, you get to know more about the local gastronomy. Years ago we did often go to Beaune and did always dine at La Ciboulette. A restaurant with good food at reasonable prices. The prices are still low, but the food are not at the same level as before. We ordered a fixed menu, but from the appetizer to the cheese it was very disappointing. It didn´t make it better... More

An enjoyable French experience with a sense of formality without being snobbish. Like many good restaurants there was a limited menu but what was available was magnificent. We chose the 4 course menu de jour. it was a very hot day so we appreciated the air conditioning which is not common in the part of France. The level of English... More

Definitely a charming restaurant, fresh decor, nice helpful owners/staff. We were the second table to arrive - on our first night in town, we were very hungry. The restaurant soon filled up, possibly many locals too. It was a good experience.

We really enjoyed our visit here. Good food, lovely wine and very reasonably priced. Authentic French experience in a period setting. Service was perhaps a little unpolished, more likely language barrier. Would return for sure.

This pleasant, storefront-sized restaurant was a welcome break from the heavy bistro food we had been eating. The wine selections were reasonably priced. The wait-staff was friendly but there was a bit of a language barrier given or poor French. Desserts were quite strong.

We chose this restaurant for supper because it was the closest highly rated one to our hotel. We rang and booked in the afternoon without problem. It was already busy when we arrived just before eight. The place was bustling with a good mixture of locals and visitors. We chose the cheapest 20€ set menu which we thought was outstanding... More

Near the Arches, this restaurant is family owned and attention to detail makes for a reasonably priced dinner for 4 at 160 with 38 Euro wine and 3 with 4 course meals. Appetizers: salmon mouse, escargot, salad and pate; main shrimp, beef, and veal. Then the local cheeses arrived before a wide array of desserts. The service was just right,... More

We were the first ones there as usual and we're welcomed by Mademoiselle and her family. Lovely 20€ menu with delicious house wine (sacrilege?)as the restaurant filled to capacity. We paid and thanked, but Mademoiselle was missing. As we left she hurried outside to thank us for coming. ..sweet little thing she is. Would definitely return.
