Tiny spot, sophisticated food, filled with locals

This pleasant, storefront-sized restaurant was a welcome break from the heavy bistro food we had been eating. The wine selections were reasonably priced. The wait-staff was friendly but there was a bit of a language barrier given or poor French. Desserts were quite strong.

We chose this restaurant for supper because it was the closest highly rated one to our hotel. We rang and booked in the afternoon without problem. It was already busy when we arrived just before eight. The place was bustling with a good mixture of locals and visitors. We chose the cheapest 20€ set menu which we thought was outstanding... More

Near the Arches, this restaurant is family owned and attention to detail makes for a reasonably priced dinner for 4 at 160 with 38 Euro wine and 3 with 4 course meals. Appetizers: salmon mouse, escargot, salad and pate; main shrimp, beef, and veal. Then the local cheeses arrived before a wide array of desserts. The service was just right,... More

We were the first ones there as usual and we're welcomed by Mademoiselle and her family. Lovely 20€ menu with delicious house wine (sacrilege?)as the restaurant filled to capacity. We paid and thanked, but Mademoiselle was missing. As we left she hurried outside to thank us for coming. ..sweet little thing she is. Would definitely return.

We were running late and looking for nice lunch when we arrived in Beaune. We stopped at first street parking and discovered it was beside a nice looking restaurant. Quick check on TA and found it was quite well ranking - OK we'll try it. What a good decision. They fitted us in despite being full. Wait 10 mins and... More

Make a reservation early because the room is small, the restaurant is popular and the food is outstanding. Great friendly service from the owner, but don't expect her to stop and chat because she is in perpetual motion. We were very satisfied with the prix fixe menu. I had bouillabaisse which I highly recommend.

We enjoyed a four course prix fixe menu, with entree, main, cheese and dessert. The restaurant is small and a bit noisy, but a wonderful atmosphere. The service was impeccable,

Yes-they are open on Sunday. I highly suggest you make a reservation as this place is always full! And for good reason- great food, elegant service, great wine selection, and excellent use of local cuisine! We were first offered an amuse bouche of a small bite of toast with a spread and some fresh radishes. For starters, I had 12... More

We were a family of four with 4-year-old twins, and had made a reservation for our dinner after reading reviews online. We had a wonderful time, including the kids, who shared a 3-course kids course suggested by the staff. The kids' appetizer was a plate with a nice piece of pâté, and for the plat, they actually had a perfectly... More

We were delighted to get a booking in the busy La Ciboulette on Easter Saturday. We had the set menu which was very traditional (Ham in Parsley) and Charolais Beef as options. The childrens menu (love France), had a soup or Chicken terrine for starter and the same beef for main. The 6yr old polished off the adult sized portion... More
