Using excellent produce practically presented in a stylish manner. Traditional French cuisine prepared and presented in a modern and approachable form. A very well stocked wine cellar. Highly recommended

Everything you would expect from a Michelin * restaurant. Food was fantastic and the wine (mainly local) was also reasonably priced for its quality. Service was good, without being formal or stuffy, though some might think it was a little slow (the restaurant was full when we were there). If I were being very picky I would note the fact... More

A small restaurant in Beaune just off the ring road. Exquisite food, the tête de veau with langoustine is worth the journey alone. We have been using this restaurant approx twice a year since it opened & have never been disappointed.

The service & attention to details were spot-on. The bottle of local white wine was served relatively cold as we like it. The amuse bouche was almost the highlight of the meal: Intensely flavored mushroom soup--we would have been happy to go home if we could have a big bowl of it. A salad was beautifully presented with an aubergine... More

I m visiting burgundy with my family so it will be nice hv a michilin starred restaurant for our dinner. However, i m disappointed as we walked in no one even ask for our jackets or anything (probably we r asian). The waiter who serving us keep hitting the other glass on the table. Not a michilin standard service. As... More

We bring a tour group to Burgundy every year and we always include Le Benaton in our itinerary. It is a small charming restaurant with some very modern French dishes which are presented beautifully.Once again we had a very positive experience this week when we returned with our group. The service was excellent with very helpful staff. The wine list has plenty... We started our trip to Burgundy by eating in this Michelin-starred restaurant. The food was memorable, and my langoustine with peach starter was perhaps the food highlight of the trip. Good wine on the recommendation of the sommelier. The restaurant space is small and the tables quite close together. The waiter told us that over 80% of the punters are... More

We first visited this restaurant in 2011, on our first trip to Beaune, and had a spectatular and impressive meal. Returning in 2014, we were a bit dismayed to see mostly the same dishes being served (for example, the foie gras raspberry ball) and the service to be stumbling through the basics. It's certainly ridiculous to complain about having too... More

First, I need to say, we enjoyed really great food. However, it was not a perfect night in Beaune. The major problem was the wine, and here we are in Burgundy - my favourite wine region at all. The wine selection was quite restricted and the sommelier - it's really a compliment to calll him like this - did not... More
