A good local restaurant. We walked in off the street without a booking and it was full of a mixture of French and tourists. We were looking for a Burgundian meal after a week on the coast and were not disappointed. Snails were good, steak was succulent and crème caramel and tarte aux pommes were up to expectations. The grill... More

A popular place with locals, the restaurant was soon full on a Wednesday evening. We sat where we could watch our food being cooked - one chef, one assistant - and very much enjoyed the result. The service was friendly, but a little haphazard, and little English was understood.Traditional French cuisine at a reasonable price.

We arrived here on a Thursday night and it proved to be a popular choice with at least 20 people dining. However, there was only one waiter who also cooked some of the steaks on the open fire, so consequently the service, though pleasant, was rather slow. There are cartes at 35 26 and 29 euros with reasonable choices for... More

A very good recommendation for travellers new to traditional French cuisine. From entree to dessert, every mouthful is a fascinating experience. Absolutely loved the escargot, steak and black pudding. Lovely and warm atmosphere with the view of the cook preparing fresh food by the fireplace visible from every corner of the dining area. A la carte menu is slightly overpriced... More

After reading the reviews, we reserved a table for dinner. It was a warm June night and it was too hot to eat inside with the wood burning stove, so we had a table on the street which was cooler. The escargot was very good, the salmon was good, the magret of duck was average. Nothing stood out. Prices were... More

Tete de veau, joue de porc, boudin, cheese plate - all tasty and well-presented. Relaxed atmosphere. Not over-priced. Definite recommendation.

Food is freshly cooked and of the region... nothing special but well done... decor is a little tired and could be better.... A good family meal but not for a special occasion... staff very friendly and overall fairly good value for money,

I'm getting a little tired of restaurants in France where minimal cooking is done. Meat put on a grill, some (frozen) fries and some salad. Perhaps a sauce if you're lucky. Here's a refreshing change! We went for the "Gastronomic menu" at 26 euros. I had a home-made tart of Epoisse cheese, Andouillette and potato - delicious and original. Grilled... More

great place at the bottom end of the town (just off main drag) Good local food cooked on a wood stove in middle of restaurant. Had a starter of poached eggs with bits of bacon cooked in wine (would make a great ‘boozy breakfast’!) Very nice salmon for main and some very nice local wine, had a good choice of... More
