Staying in St Malo waiting to catch the car ferry back to the UK tomorrow. Checked Trip Advisor to see what restaurants were close to the Best Western Hotel and the Les Relais D'Alsace looked that it was worth a visit. My wife selected one of the set menus and I selected the frois gras to start and the moules... More

This is an unprepossessing restaurant from the outside - near to the train station - and we arrived before they opened at 7.00pm, but were welcomed, shown in, sat at a table and brought apéros and a menu. The service was friendly and helpful, without being gushing - and the food excellent with lots of choice. By 8.00pm the place... More

A good little find, lots of lovely food. We had the 28euro menu Nd had gravlax salmon, fruit de mer followed by a entrecôte and frites with a pepper sauce. For pudding I had the cheese (which I found a bit strong) and he had the creme brûlée. All were well executed, presented impeccably and served by our waitress in... More

Great food (too much!), great service. Choucroute was excellent (enough for 2+ people). Everything well prepared!

We were looking for somewhere that did more than burgers near our hotel. Decided on this restaurant as it did quite a lot of fish courses. Didn't have starters but those other customers around us did and theirs looked rather nice! Main courses we had were sea bass (x2) and the sea food selection. Both were really tasty and good... More

This restaraunt was recommended by our hotel. We are a family of 5, with 3 teenage daughters. We have lived in Germany but he kids have not really eaten french food before. So we tried snails and frois Gras for starters. Both were excellent and were even eaten by 2 out of 3 daughters. For main the kids had burgers,... More

The staff were helpful, the food was good (although a little too much in quantity for me). The wine was nice. Do bear in mind that this is Alsace food - I had sourkraut (spelt the French way) with lots of different meats. Germanic.

I arrived from Jersey on a late ferry, and was staying near the TGV station so to catch an early train. The staff at my hotel suggested Les Relais...after a long day, it could not have been better. Although I arrived just before 22.00, the place was buzzing. I was greeted warmly, given a lovely table, and treated to a... More
