My husband and i stayed here last Aug. 12 for two nights and then returned after 3 days... I will start my review on the positive aspect of the hotel; POSITIVE ASPECTS: 1.) the owner is very polite and accommodating, he will provide everything you need e.g request to call a taxi, gave us hot water to take to our... Having avoided the massed ranks of crowded restaurants at the entrances to the old town, this was like stepping back in time (in a good way) to the sort of restaurant that we thought had almost died out in France. A fair choice on the lowest fixed price menu gave a portion of moules mariniere as a starter that was... More

Perfect place but perfectly hidden. A lot of locals which is always a good sign. We enjoyed the fruits de mer for lunch. Service very good! Worth the trip.

This restaurant was very good value with a wide choice of food on the menu. There were lots of local people dining there which is always a good sign of a popular restaurant. Half bottles of wine were available which meant I could have a rose wine while my husband had the dry white. Staff were very friendly but it... More

Worth finding this typically French restaurant. Enjoyed spider crab with mayonnaise, wonderful sole with mussels and crème brulee, along with a bottle of wine. Ambience was relaxing and the staff made us feel welcome. Made our day visit to St Malo very enjoyable.

Great set meals from 13euros. We chose the 19 euro and the choices were excellent. The welcome was good and the staff ever so professional. The environment was friendly and decor fairly modern but classical. Although the menus are in French we were given good advice by an English speaking waitress. Well worth the effort to find this restaurant.

Stopped here for dinner at the recommendation of my hotel. I'm glad to have been off of the overpriced 'restaurant row' and feel that I had a wonderful experience. I took the 19E set price menu and chose the raw oyster appetizer, a faux filet main and the creme brule for dessert along with a demi bottle of wine. Overall... More

I thoroughly enjoyed dining at the Armoricaine in Saint-Malo. The choices and the food on the 13 Euro complete dinner was very good. The service was okay ... I think it was perhaps better for the French speakers. The Armoricaine was a nice, typical French dining experience - which is what has become a rarity in touristy Saint-Malo ... so,... More

Went here after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. The place was busy, worth booking if attending on a weekend, but as I was on my own, they managed to fit me in after a 10-15 minute wait. The madame, who I presume was the owner was helpful throughout and made sure her team got my table as soon as possible.... More
