Eat where the locals eat, reasonably priced seafood

My husband had the lobster menu with foie gras to start with and a beautiful dessert at the end. I ate a salad with gibbits, followed by fish in butter sauce and desert. Very nice too. We were lucky to get the last table, the place was full of locals (or at least French people). Service was... read more

This was recommended for seafood by our hotel, and it did not disappoint. Warm, white-tablecloth service, and a good menu of tasty, well-prepared, and good value dishes for every palate. They know how to run a competitive, classy, french restaurant -- and how to serve seafood. Worth a visit.

$19 formulae for 3 courses. How good could it possibly be for such a cheap price, will the servings be tiny??? I wasn't expecting much despite the owner of my rental apartment highly recommending the place. Although Bernadette is from Saint Malo she could also be related to the owner or recommend this place for other reasons. After a few... More

We enjoyed great service & €19 menu. Food excellent & exceptional value in St Malo. I enjoyed fish soup, then grilled salmon. Pete enjoyed excellent mussels then fish beautifully prepared & great generous serve of cheeses for dessert. Reasonable wine wine selection to accompany good dinner, topped off with excellent waiter!

Excellent service, food and prices. Good wine. French atmosphere. The waitress spoke French only. The streak was superb. Inside the old city

Title says it all. For EU 23.50 including a glass of wine, had a very tasty 3 course meal. Excellent fish soup. Waitress did not speak much English but with a bit of willing on both sides, we understood each other. Asked for a wifi code - no problem. Nice atmosphere. Would definitely go again.

Superb food once more My mother and I found this wonderful restaurant many many years ago, when we were buying stamps for postcards. We were hungry and really did not want to walk much further in the pouring rain. We looked at the menu outside first and we decided to have lunch there. Well we certainly were not disappointed. I have... More

We stayed in the accomodation here, based on advice that the restuarant was good. Here's the low down, skip the accomodation, it's terrible. Having said that, the restuarant is very good and well worth the visit. Wonderful food, terible staff, although the old lady, I think might be the oweners mother, is a wonderful character and deserves a lot of... More

Great creme brûlée and chocolate mousse. Impeccable service. Inexpensive. Otherwise a simple local menu with nothing outstanding. A good place for mussels. We had fish and pork, both were above average, slightly. The greasy potatoes that other reviewers have mentioned were still greasy potatoes. The other food is well presented and fresh. So why are we giving this nice little... More

My partner and I first discovered this restaurant nearly five years ago and revisited it twice in August 2013. This time we were once again on a short break staying inside the attractive old walled city of Saint-Malo. It is always with some trepidation that one revisits a favourite restaurant well over 18 months later. Has it changed hands? Will... More
