Simple inside but very good for seafood and fish. Try sole, or lobster, or cod. They are exellent! Very good wines choice and chocolate mousse for dessert will be a perfect finish. Locals visit this restaurant and it is not touristic one. Situated on a street, without ocean view but close to Le Grand Hotel.

We ate here during our stay in St Malo. It is away from the 'tourist trap' area and appears to be popular with local people. There are set menus to choose from or A La Carte. The choice was very good and the food excellent. Delicious desserts too. Our best meal in St Malo. Don't be put off by the... More

excellent food, menu appears pricey at first but the set meal is a real bargain (especially midweek, it's further discounted) -- not on the water, but better food than the restaurants with a water view that we did sample

Reservation is almost essential for this restaurant. It is very popular for its fresh seafood, especially lobster, (some of whom live in a little tank in the corner of the restaurant...) Staff were polite and welcoming. We were treated to a mackerel pate appetiser while we waited for our food - which was a nice touch as service is somewhat... More

My husband and I ventured out in the rain without a dinner reservation and had our hopes set on dining here. Good luck, we got the last deuce. The service is not terribly polished but good-hearted. We had grilled sole and the day's lobster special, both superb. We sat in the first room which had nicer lighting than the back.... More

This restaurant is close to some fine brasseries but a level higher. Seafood is the specialty but meat was great as well. Many dishes with oysters. There is also fresh lobster. The menu is a very good deal, as each course costs almost the same as the entire menu (22 euro).

Four of us felt that our seafood dinner at Les Embruns was extraordinary. This restaurant was located across the street from our hotel (Ambassadeurs) and recommended by the hotel. Although we're somewhat wary of concierge recommendations, this one lived up to the hype.

The restaurant was a delight. We chose the mid-priced prix-fixe menu. I had a terrine to start, my husband started with oysters. Both were delicious. We both ordered scallops for the main course, which were quite good although, to our surprise, they were breaded and sautéed. I had pana cotta with fruit compote for desert, my husband had artisanal ice... More

Charming little restaurant, just off the beach. The fish was cooked perfectly. Large portions and great sides. This was a good value. and a very pleasant meal. The service could not have been better.

€106 for a delicious three course dinner for two, including aperitifs and wine is very good value when it included starters of soupe de poisson and a ceviche of scallops and crab. The mains were St Pierre (John Dory) of very generous proportions and pollack with vanilla scented orange. Well worth making a considerable diversion to try.
