Loved the oysters so very fresh this place is frequented by locals so says it all really can't fault it and the house wine at 4 euros is lovely!!

Clearly this is a brasserie, so it's not on to give it five stars. It's not fine dining, but in its way it it is very good. Our family have eaten here for years, always on our last night before getting the ferry home to the Islands, when you really don't want to eat a poor meal at the end... More

Wow, this far exceeded our expectations. What wonderful service, delicious food, and a superb atmosphere, the whole experience was just fantastic, the lunch has restored our faith in restaurants as we so often get disappointed at home and abroad. We went on a package deal with Brittany Ferries thinking it would be fun, but no it was truly everything a... More

Perfect place for our final dinner in France. Atmosphere was buzzing and friendly, with staff happy to answer any questions (even if though our French was limited). The menu is packed with options, the food casual, hearty, and delicious. The suckling pig, scallop butter sauce stew, and salt cod gratin were winners in our book. Baked Camembert with herbs is... My husband and I fortunately chose this restaurant purely by luck. 'Best burger ever' he said _ not someone who normally eats burgers and not his usual choice at all! Staff were humorous yet professional. Presentation and service superb. Going back tomorrow. NOT a tourist trap whatsoever which it could be with it's location.

We chose this restaurant as our son was keen on the burger menu. However, I had the best meal of my holiday here - scallops in a creamy sauce with rice and salad - delicious! All cooked perfectly! The service was also very good and now planning our return visit!

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The menu had a good range of food. We can heartily recommend the slow roast pork, pate and salt cod gratin. Our waiters advice on wine to go with our meals on our 3 visits was always spot on and he never tried to force an expensive bottle on us. We'll be back... More

Arrived without a booking on a Wednesday night, and couldn't get a table inside... but they were happy to park us outside, and we ordered a drink while waiting for a spot to free up. It's quite a large place, and located strategically just inside the city walls on Place Chateaubriand, so a great place to watch the passing parade... More

We only wanted a drink and snack during lunch service, but nonetheless we were given a table and made to feel welcome. My husband lingered here whilst I hit the shops- this wasn't a problem.

Always end our holidays in France here with sometimes a meal but always one of their excellent blonde beers. Very crowded at times but it adds to the atmosphere. Food and drink of good quality and service very prompt.
