Location is absolutely stunning and this place has a huge variety of crepes!

I love a good creperie, and this definitely is one. I visited 4 years ago in October time and plan to visit again soon. The little restaurant is one of many little ones along this street, but I'm glad I entered this one. It's so beautiful inside, the waitress was very nice (way back when!) I... read more

It is said the No. 1 crepes restaurant. We try crepes with sweet sause. Frankly speaking, it is not as good as we expected. In our hotel breakfast, we also have the same crepes. We can not find major difference between those two restaurants

We had a lovely lunch here and service was friendly and very fast. We had cider, a savoury crepe each and a dessert crepe each. Everything was made fresh and the savoury crepe included a salad. The dessert crepes included homemade caramel (au beurre sale) sauce that was really a treat. Bill was about Euros 39.

Realy nice restaurant with excellent gallettes and ice creams. I had a pancake with eggs and some kind of a cheese, after that I tried some ice creamed gallettes. Simply brilliant. The restaurant is located in the heart of the city. It has got a two floor, we had our meal upstairs. It's like old-fashioned interior, the service was pretty... More

Two beautiful crepes, cider and coffee in a cramped but busy restaurant. The wait was lengthy but worthwhile.

The service was painfully slow the night we went. At one point, the waitress had to reassure us that she hadn't forgotten us. Normally that would annoy me but it's a small restaurant staffed by two women. One cooks and the other serves people on two floors. We were patient and rewarded with delicious savory and sweet crepes. They use... More

We spent 9 days in France trying this and that, mostly gourmet cuisine, very tired of pretentious and demanding atmosphere and the way meals looked like, in the very end... when we luckily came across this tiny place on a beautiful old street of Rennes only serving crepes, but serving so perfectly!! That's definitely the place to try what "galette"... More

I wasn't so sure about this place because it was almost empty at 8 pm (a time when I was starving) and I didn't read anything about it on TA or LP but the husband remembered that the owner was interviewed about galette-making on LP. And am I glad we went with his choice. The galettes we had were the... More

My husband and I happened across this quaint little creperie during a mild June Sunday's trip to Rennes. We were tired and hungry, but didn't expect to have such overwhelmingly good food at this unassuming little place. The gallettes using black, organic wheat were absollutely delicious. As were the fillings - I had an 'Epinard', which consisted of spinach, creme... More

Freezing in Rennes, but nothing but warmth at La Ville d'Ys. A tiny little place, 6 tables and Madame's kitchen (there are a few more tables upstairs via a 15th century staircase). I had a ble noir tartiflette galette, and the delice dessert galette; I have never had a better "Breton" meal. To be honest, I haven't had many meals... More
