We have eaten in this hotel restaurant on several occasions and never been disappointed. Don't let the location put you off or the appearance of what after all is a very old hotel. By reputation Gaugin dined here in its heyday! Enter the restaurant and you straight away know the team take this business seriously. Yes it feels slightly old... More

This restaurant and town was recommended by French friends. We would otherwise not have visited. The day was stormy and cold but the warm welcome and charming service and the food, made this visit worth it. Happily, because of the weather, the usual tourist hordes were non-existent. Wonderful.

Sat on a funny little courtyard with stuffed toys and false flowers but the food was delicious. Wonderful beef stew my husband says Preceded by oysters I had fish soup and enormous dish of prawns and fab chips.staff busy and smily.

I've staye dhere a couple of times. The hotel is getting very tired so we stayed elsewhere on this trip but still ate in the restaurant - still one of the best.

Along with the majority of retaurants in Pont Aven the food was expensive and mediocre, edible but boring I expect so much more from France. Because of the tourist nature of the town few of the chefs seem to care about creating good tasty meals!

If you are out and about near Quimper, and if you have any interest at all in Art, then you just have to visit "PONT-AVEN", it is a small village about 15 miles from Quimper, and it is bursting at the seams with Art shops and Galleries, I have been to the area a few times but never stumbled across... We've had a number of meals at this delightful restaurant in the middle of Pont-Aven. You can be assured of a warm welcome and the atmosphere is always relaxed and friendly. If there is a delay between courses the walls are covered with interesting examples of the local art scene! The menu choices are wide-ranging with a heavy emphasis on... More

Have eaten here at least twice a year for last 4 years and love it. Staff are wonderful and food always tastes as good as it looks. Presentation is fantastic and attention to detail refreshing.

We have eaten here at least twice a year for the past seven years and are never disappointed This is one of the few Pont Aven restaurants which doesn't cater purely for tourists. Madame is multi-lingual which helps with the occasional blip in one's knowledge of the menu. We love the variety here both in the fresh food and the... More

This place i am sure, at one stage, was a fine establishment but now it's dated, worn out and just doesn't bother trying any more...at least that's the impression I had after dining there recently with two others. 2 of my friends were ill after eating here.
