For a nice dinner in Quimper...

The food was so good we went twice. The service is friendly, relaxed, informed and attentive. Wise to make a reservation. The walls safeguard travellers' coins so that they can eat when they come back this way.

We ate here having been tempted in by the waitress who translated the menu for us. We were in the small dining room on the ground floor which was a really attractive and characterful space. Our starters and mains were delicious, I had the vegetable rolls and the chicken, which was a particular highlight, but the desserts were slightly disappointing... More

We had a wonderful lunch, very French, excellent food and wine ,friendly and welcoming service. There are three levels to the restaurant all of which were very attractive. Good choice of meals on board on wall and helpful advice from staff.

The Cosy is situated in a narrow old building with the tables spread over 3 floors. The menu is fairly limited but the food we ate (fillet of beef, tuna loin, excellent deserts) was served quickly and was delicious. Good selection of wines by the glass, friendly service, and reasonable prices. Busy at weekends so you may have to book... More

Reserved a table here midweek and were glad that we did, as they were fully booked for the whole night when we arrived at 19:00. Seemed like a couple ran the restaurant and they were up and down the stairs non stop; no wonder they're thin. We were waiting quite a while for our food. Both started with the sardines... More

Great service, great menu choice and the charming waiter made an excellent wine choice for us not on the wine carte. My main was a filet steak part of which was a deconstructed steak and was so good. I had a madeleine gourmande for dessert which was creative and delicious. You can leave small coins in the brick wall, for... More

Stopped here for lunch with our two children following a recommendation in the Rough Guide to Normandy and Brittany - possibly the first time we've ever gone somewhere specifically because it was in a guidebook, as these things tend to change. Seated downstairs at about 12.30pm on a Wednesday lunchtime in August. The place was quiet but quickly filled up... More

Eight of us enjoyed lunch in a private room at the top of this fantastic restaurant, four adults and four children. What a great lunch and dining experience. Superlatives abounds and no higher praise than marvellous, great value and worthy of a star!!
