Welcoming restaurant with staff very willing to translate the menu for us. The food was very tasty with generous portions - worth bearing in mind because you must try their famous tarte tatin!!

The Port area of Dinan offers a variety of dining opportunities and we have tried several over a number of visits, though we had passed by L'Atelier as it looks at first glance rather small and unprepossing. On the strength of a recommendation from our Hotel we decided to give it a whirl this time. Turning up a 7.30 was... More

Having confused this with a similarly named resto (#1 at the time), we'd expected the best food in Dinan - and got it! The crowning triumph was the house Tarte Tartan - which has to be ordered with the mains - Divine. Service was friendly and efficient. Best meal of the holiday... so far...

very nice people. Fantastic moules and tarta tatin at Atelier style. In case we come back to Dinan, it definitely deserves another visit!

I took 2 friends for a birthday lunch today. We sat overlooking the Port Dinan. The serving staff was pleasant and attentive. When the food arrived it was divine!! Every course was beautifully presented and to top with fresh ingredients. It was delicious. The owner of the restaurant is also very charming and attentive to his customers. He heard it was... More

We walked in on the busiest weekend the fête de ramparts and we warmly welcomed and immediately seated on the terrace which was delightfully cool as it is adjacent to the river rance. We had the set menu. Which was very good value and delicious at 16.90 euro per person for a 3 course meal. Moules frites was great. Good... More

This restaurant is in a quirky little building which, as you go in and down the stairs, you realise is actually part of the bridge. It is charming and the staff are friendly. We were dressed casually but that did not present a problem. The young waitress practised her best English on us and explained a couple of menu choices... More

We have been visiting the Atelier for six years now and I realized that I had not written a review. We are charmed. The host and his staff are always super friendly and welcoming (the best experience is if you speak French). The food is delicious with a small, eclectic menu of dishes and the most divine Tarte Tatin (which... More

We arrived late on a Thursday night, and were seated on the Terrace which is lovely and airy, with a view of the river. They were out of many items because of the hour, but we found the Salmon carpaccio, fumé mason absolutely delightful, and as an entrée was plentiful. We also enjoyed the haddock in a casserole with vegetables... More
