Great place, good food and atmosphere

Excellent food and service, the manager owner Fabrice knows how to hire excellent staff! Excellent steak, good wine and a Tarte Tatin to die for!

Had dinner here recently and really enjoyed. The location is great, right on the River Rance, the waitress was lovely and very helpful and dinner was very good indeed. Worth a visit.

The food is original. Waiters and waiteresses are welcoming and available. We spent a very nice evening. Our table was near the windows over the river. A large terrace is also very nice. Taste the fish soup as it is exceptional.

Quaint building, excellent food, accommodating host and good choice of background music! Also we were allowed to take our well behaved dog in with us, couldn't be better. Could thoroughly recommend the house red, it was great and I don't even like red wine.

I really don't understand any of the negative comments regarding this restaurant? We had an absolutely lovely meal and can only praise the quality of the food and the service. We were a party of 4 and between us we tasted the pork, beef and the fish dishes and can attest that they were all very tasty and well prepared.... More

This is the 1st time we have visited although we have tried many times, for whatever reason previously they were closed or full which is a good thing. Try to book early so you can get on the deck, especially at the edge over the actual river.

Based on reputation over many years, we wanted to try this restaurant. Yes, the setting is lovely. However, for what turned out to be the most expensive meal during a 3 week holiday, it was spoiled mainly by the service and obvious attitude that it was living on past glories and no longer really cares. a real shame. We arrived... More

L'Atelier Gourmand sits over the lovely river flowing past Dinan and we were placed at a table for two right by the window. What a romantic setting. Tables were very close to each other but we didn't feel crowded or intruded upon. In fact, we had a bird's eye view of what everyone else was eating - interesting for us... More

Be careful if you book this restaurant you will have any tolerence! After 5mn delay you will wait 30mn to get the menu, revenge from the owner!! What a silly situation! Due to this lack of profesionalism we decided to leave the restaurant!

Delicious food from the Brittany region, including seafood and mussels. This restaurant is aiming at the higher end price wise but the quality of the food and choices of wines was worth it. It's a small venue to making a reservation is essential. My only negative comment was that service was a little slow.
