Tucked away in a corner of the wonderful mediaeval centre of Dinan. Small restaurant with a limited but delicious menu enabling a high standard of food and service. The multilingual hostess was doing a great job catering for the needs of her guests of many nationalities. They were caring about my husband's gluten allergy.

We noticed this restaurant tucked away in the corner of a small town centre square. The menu was appealing and the food was very good. Service was very cordial and the waitress was patient with our attempt to speak French. Nice ambience and a step above other restaurants in Dinan that we had tried.

Thai/Japanese/French.. What sort of food is the strength here? We had the 3 course meal. The amuse bouche was asparagus cream with cardoman and it was not good. My meal was bland, the fish over cooked and the Japanese noodles were a bad choice, but my husband did better with delicious venison and cherry. The waitress was sweet and helpful. Our... More

We had a very enjoyable evening with friends in this friendly little restaurant which is nicely different from the standard French offering. We had the three course prix fixe menu with a very nice bottle of Chablis. The salmon terrine and duck satay starters were both very tasty. Fish of the day (John Dory on a cod brandade) was beautifully... More

We ate the fixed menu at around 29 euros. The duck and satay starter was delicious. Three had the fish of the day, John Dory not the halibut which was on the menu. It was well cooked but a little lacking in flavour. The Indonesian beef was very tasty. The desserts were lovely especially the chocolate and caramel one. Service... More

The place is in the corner, a little bit off the route suggested in the tourist map. Probably because of that, it was not as crowded as some other restaurants. The food was quite good, but pretty simple and straightforward. It completely lacked that creativity one expects from a French restaurant, and especially a French restaurant on top of the... More

We decided to try somewhere new and were glad that we did. We have the evening fixed menu La Baie (scallops / prawns) and the non scallop one (around EUR 33 and EUR 28 respectively for 3 courses). Both were really excellent. Small and cosy venue, friendly attentive service and great food (did not scrimp on the scallops either). With... More

We visisted Mr Robert again as it's one of our favourite restaurants in Brittany. Another superb lunch and we are never disappointed with the quality of the food and exquisite presentation. The restaurant was full and we always book so as to avoid disappointment. Thank you again and we will definitely be back soon.

There are various "menus" here - a la carte, menu 'La Baie' (lots of ways to cook wonderful scallops) and a set menu with several choices. The scallops were beautifully cooked, succulent and very yummy. Other courses were equally good, with well-balanced ingredients which were thoughtfully produced and presented. Staff are friendly with one lady speaking very good English, French... More
