I am sure this is a popular restaurant in the tourist season, but also off-season it is well worth a visit. It is basically a seafood restaurant, as most places in Concarneau, but they also have other choices. I had a nicely prepared mussel meat in a shell covered with a crust. Very good. For the main dish I had... More

We have visited Concarneau a number of times and always go to Le Belem. We have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and the food excellent.

We stopped off in Concarneu to visit friends on our way to Andalusia southern Spain. Our host recommended this lovely restaurant. Given the time of year this is one of the few restaurants open. It is situated on the open walk way along the water front just across from the Old Walled Town. I like Concarneu in June better, as... More

During a visit to Concarneau we were looking for somewhere for a lunch time meal. Came across the Le Bellem and had a wonderful 'Plat du Jour' (fix price menu of the day). The meal was excellent value for money considering we where at the coast, sat outside enjoying a great view of the marina. Would recommend anyone visiting Concarneau... More

Wanted to find a non touristic restaurant without crepes, etc and in Concarneau there are very few of these. Found Le Belem towards the end of the town and saw it was relatively full of French people and few tourists. We wanted a simple a la carte meal not the standard fixed price three couse menus found everywhere these days... More

Went on a recommendation from someone who lives in the area. It was good, solid food. My partner had the fruits de mer (nice selection, fresh). I had the salad with goat cheese toasts (expensive at 9E) and moules frites. Split a 1/2 bottle of Sancerre (16E). Portions were a bit high, and nothing was wrong, but in the end,... More

We stumbled upon this one after wandering around the market which is held on the square right in front. Outside seating was limited, so we went inside. The theme is clearly ocean, and things which come from there. That alone doth not make a good restaurant, however, it was full - and we were late. Advice - if you are... More

Attentive and helpful. Some english spoken. Introduced to Lambig as the local Bretagne calvados for a digestif. Good menu at 29.90€ but could eat for quite a bit less.
