The tastiest crepes and galettes youll ever find

The crepes and galettes are to die for here. They are so unbelievably good - so light they almost melt on your tongue. My husband had the garlic mussels, which he thought were delicious, but I just stuck with the galettes, which were excellent. Kids went with crepes, which were also excellent. Definitely recommend, though service was a little poor.

Anyone visiting Carnac and wanting to try authentic Breton food should look no further tha the Ty Gwelig. It is a friendly family run restaurant with freshly cooked local cuisine. We have eaten there at lunchtime and had the mussels, my wife had the famous brittany galettes and said they were to die for. We also went there during the... More

We went two times toTy Gwelig and the Moules Frites were probably the best ones I had during my stay in France. The second evening I went for a menu and whilst this was reasonably OK, I was not too thrilled about the taste of the dishes. Not bad, but definitely nothing outstanding. The welcome and the service was extremely... More

We wanted to try some real gallettes so went to Ty Gwelig and we were not disappointed. I did over order but the galette with cheese was delicious as was the mushroom, ham and cheese galette. The great thing about these galettes is that they are all gluten free, which was an essential as one of our party has a... More

Ty Gwelig is a nice, small restaurant in the centre of Carnac. The atmosphere is friendly, the waitstaff is very polite and amenable and the price is honest. On the menu you'll find a medium selection of traditional food - meat, fish, crêpes, gallettes, etc. I especially advise the grilled salmon, which was very tasty and fresh. But, really, I'd... More

We were looking forward to eating here based on the Tripadvisor reviews, but they were not open in early February. Alas.

A basic looking restaurant from the outside but with some really great choices of traditional and less traditional food. I had the moules breton(cooked with cider instead of white wine) and it was one of the best tasting mussels I have ever had. There is also an amazing desert made from the worlds largest crepe and most of france's fruit... More
