Ate here twice and ate mussels both times. Nice little restaurant, excellent food, good service, good value. And good cider. Unpretentious, friendly and tasty.

With many lunch options in Carnac it was hard to choose ... But very happy we ended up here for our lunch while touring the local Neolithic sites. The service was friendly, delicious cider served in these cute cups, the mussels and chips were fantastic and so were our crepes for desert. Lovely lunch in a lovely town... And well... More

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he'd just heard that he'd come second in the 'Rudest Restaurant Owner in France' but it will have been a close contest, narrowly beaten by Gerard Depardieu playing Professor Grumpy with a hangover. We didn't like being spoken to like 'merde' so we recommend you stay well away from this place,... More

Everything about this restarant is great. Galettes are delicious. We had the scallop and also the smoked salmon ones. Also the fruits de mer. The demisec cider was best we've had so far in Brittany. Our server (proprietor?) Was friendly and informative. Carnac is a lovely town. Go there! Eat here!

The crepes and galettes are to die for here. They are so unbelievably good - so light they almost melt on your tongue. My husband had the garlic mussels, which he thought were delicious, but I just stuck with the galettes, which were excellent. Kids went with crepes, which were also excellent. Definitely recommend, though service was a little poor.

Anyone visiting Carnac and wanting to try authentic Breton food should look no further tha the Ty Gwelig. It is a friendly family run restaurant with freshly cooked local cuisine. We have eaten there at lunchtime and had the mussels, my wife had the famous brittany galettes and said they were to die for. We also went there during the... More

We went two times toTy Gwelig and the Moules Frites were probably the best ones I had during my stay in France. The second evening I went for a menu and whilst this was reasonably OK, I was not too thrilled about the taste of the dishes. Not bad, but definitely nothing outstanding. The welcome and the service was extremely... More

We wanted to try some real gallettes so went to Ty Gwelig and we were not disappointed. I did over order but the galette with cheese was delicious as was the mushroom, ham and cheese galette. The great thing about these galettes is that they are all gluten free, which was an essential as one of our party has a... More
