Lunch at La Felouque, Le Puy-en-Velay

Hungry from our day climbing up and down Le Puy, we stumbled into this restaurant on yet another wet day in April 2013. I started with the salad tiede lentils du puy (warm salad of puy lentils), followed by the magret de canard (duck breast), both of which were very tasty. We washed this down... read more

We have had the pilgrims plate and it was delicious! The wonderful cook prepares the food with a lot of passion and offered us little snacks to try and an interesting lesson about the "lentille verte". Its a good place that I can warmly recommend!

Like the previous reviewers, we found this restaurant by accident as we were wandering through the old town. The weather was a bit cool and drizzly for July but it was cosy inside with a welcoming ambience and friendly service. Our waitress was the owners' daughter home from university and she spoke good English and advised us on the best... More

We found this restaurant by accident and were very happy with our choice. We dined in the rear terrace which is very quiet and is overlooked by interesting medieval architecture. The menu was simple and regional. The food was great and the service was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was good. We would eat here again and recommend it... More

I really reccomend Duck and Fish. We spent a week in Le Puy for the festival, this was the only place where we got really good food, within the traditional Renaisance.

My husband and I plus our elderly dog were very welcomed into this small, friendly restaurant in the heart of the old city. It was a sunday evening and we couldn't find anywhere else opened. We had a superb French meal with local products and a good local wine. The restaurant also sells the local Le Puy Lentils.
