We ate here twice during our visit to Le Puy, once for dinner and once for lunch. The restaurant is conveniently located on a nice plaza with outdoor seating and a fountain, attached to the IBIS Styles Hotel.(if you stay at the hotel, you get a 10% discount on your meal). We were pleasantly surprised at both the service and... More

Good choices, reasonable prices, very good service. starters: croustine de chair de tortade (crab meat in crisp tube plus salad). Caesar salad. Then Magret de canard (a duck dish that she said was very good); I had moules mariniere which I always enjoy. We'd go again.

We were in a rush. It was packed on a Sunday and that seemed like a good sign. The servers were very friendly. But the food was boring and overpriced. The suprême de volaille was dry. The haricots verts were overcooked. The bill was far higher than justifiable.

The food here was edible but there are so many better restaurants in Le Puy! The service was good but the food was average at best. When we requested an entrée salad as a main course we were told that they could not work out how much to charge for it and therefore we could only have the small salad.... More

Le Puy-en-Velay looks to have many options for dining and many of those are attractive sidewalk cafes. After touring the city I chose to eat at the MaitreKanter because it ws convient to the All Seasons hotel and had been given a 10% coupon by the hotel. I have eaten at other locations of the chain/franchise and this was as... More

Moderate. You could pay the same amount elswhere and probably get a much better dining experience. However, it was one of the few places actually open on the evening of a public hoilday and consequently it was full.

A typical example of a chain restaurant serving the sort of mass produced factory food that really isn't very good but not so bad that you can send it back. Even if you did, you know they would replace it with an identical bland product. The large portions suffice but the experience doesn't really satisfy.

Good and interesting local food in this restaurant, friendly and fast service, inexpensive and rich local dishes for carnivores and vegetarians. I tasted an excellent tartare a la Niçoise, very good loose wine from Cote du Rhone and Val d'Auvergne. They will also serve you when most of other restaurants will be already closed. Very good value for money!

We had two unpleasant experiences at this restaurant, one when we had a family lunch in July 2009 and the second one this year, when we went there for a lunch my husband and I. On both occasions we noticed the snootiness of the staff. The food was ok on the first occasion and the area the restaurant is situated... More
