one of the few italian restaurants in town...probably the best one..the ceasars salad is a superb choice..pizzas are authentic italian recipies and you can have a meal in a place with a great atmosphere carefully selected music and a very polite service..prices were relatively high but it worth it..

We arrived in Clermont fairly late one Thursday evening to find most restaurants didn't appeal to a family with varied needs/dietary requirements, or were full, or of course were closed for the holidays - even around the touristy part of Clermont. Whilst feeling it's a bit of sacrilege to go to an Italian restaurant when you're in France, this restaurant... More

My wife and I stayed in Clermont-Ferrand overnight on a journey to the South Of France. We went for a wander around the city in the evening and were drawn to the huge and imposing cathedral. The mostly pedestrianised road down from the cathedral entrance has a number of restaurants with pavement tables. We chose this one and what a... More

The title says it all. This was our second visit to Bistro Venitien in Clermont-Ferrand. This time we were seated upstairs in a beautifully decorated room, very Venetian and very cozy. We enjoyed a tray of excellent olives, tapenade, followed by an excellent salad of fresh greens, an enormous pizza for my husband and the excellent pasta Noix St. Jacques... More

I say Little Gem because from the outside and just inside the door it looks small; but once inside there are two upper floors all with plenty of room. It is very clean and tidy, the staff are exceptionally friendly, serving a variety of Italian food all very reasonably priced. A restaurant I will certainly visit again!

Walking round on a Saturday evening wondering where to eat in a town you don't know can be pretty frustrating. Hungry after a long drive south our first choice was fully booked so we walked round the corner and found this bistro. It was packed but the staff cleared and quickly laid a table. Entrecôte on a bed of pasta... More

While visiting our family in Clermont, my husband and I, along with our daughter and granddaughter, stopped for lunch here after a long morning of walking and shopping. The bistro is very attractive and cozy, especially on a cold winter afternoon, with, of course, Venetian décor. We had pasta w/coquilles Saint Jacques. Absolutely delicious! The scallops were perfectly prepared, sweet... More

We stumbled across this restaurant while we were exploring the old part of Clermont-Ferrand. It is situated near the Cathedral in a good street. We were only in C-F for 1 night, and popped in for a visit. We arrived fairly early but there were a few diners in the restaurant already. Our waitress spoke excellent English and was very... More

We found this restaurant through trip advisor and the reviews were correct. It is beautifully located near the cathedral and had a fantastic balance of good food, friendliness, service and value. It is essentially Italian food but sometimes with a twist. Still somewhat cheaper than a lot of other local restaurants I found.

We ate here two times I had the house lasagna both times. Both times the lasagna was excellent! Service varied, one time the service was very good the next time the service was average to below-average. The atmosphere was comfortable and friendly.
