Charming little restaurant with pleasingly different menu choices.

This little restaurant offers local dishes and it was really good to find choices such as asparagus vinaigrette and melon with fabulous pata negra cured ham as starters , welcome alternatives to the usual seafood ones offered by most of the restaurants. Delicious whole bar, hake and cod feature... read more

A bit off the beaten path, but we could not have been happier with this restaurant. The waiters were warm, cordial and attentive, and provided my wife with an English menu and ongoing translations. The stuffed crab appetizer was actually a bowl of a kind of crab fondu, abundant, tasty, and could well have been a main course. My wife's... More

There are a lot of options for food in St. Jean de Luz, and Le Peita is a good one! The menu was fresh and heavy on seafood (as you would expect in Basque Country) and the food was great. The service was excellent. Highly recommended!

We had some good food here and also reasonably priced wine. Service was good and the ambience was also pleasant. The Ttoro (seafood soup) was very tasty.

A nice location and filling up quickly we decided to eat at La Peita. Menus looked good, food smelt nice but when we came to order, things were not available. Eventually my starter came but the wine was still missing! Arrivals after us seemed to be getting better service! It then took ages for our mains to arrive but to... More

It's really not very good. Over priced, poorly cooked seafood. Charming location though if that's what you care about.

No ambiance, very poor service one to recommend to someone you don't like ! The food was poor, the loo hidden upstairs, only way to find it was to watch other people! We were given a poor table, plenty of others available. No welcome, and no atmosphere. Plenty of other good and friendly restaurants just next door.

It use to be a very good restaurant , and the food is still good , nothing exceptionnal but correct . Setting and service unfortunatly quite average or even médiocre , i was a bit disappointed , as prices did not go down ....

As we searched on a Saturday evening for a restaurant to suit fish and meat eaters this was the best welcome we received and well worth the slightly chilly seating outside as the inn was full! Fabulous imaginative squid risotto, chocolate fondant exquisite and cheerful ambience appreciated.
