Lucky to get a table at lunch on a Sunday

The steaming hot fish soup was remarquable for its flavours, taste and colour. The prawn salad and bread were well appreciated along with the duck pâté served with toast on arrival but the steak wasn't cooked to taste and went back to the kitchen half eaten.

Our visit started with some complications about the reservation, but at the end we get the table in the bar side, which I found later as an advantage. The starters and the wine from Navarra were OK and the main courses partly too. The clou of this place are tho local quests together with the owner. The have made such... More

We enjoyed an excellent evening meal here . We chose from the set menu - the carpaccio de boeuf ( entree) and merluz / hake ( both delicious) and from the aka carte part of the menu - soupe de poisson ( beyond excellent. !!!!! ) and duck breast ( very tasty) . We had excellent , prompt service from... More

Good food, good service. Good location. Have the squid in ink if on the menu. A little pricey but not bad value.

Ive had 2 birthday meals here, and I hope to have more. Genuinely exceptional cooking of top quality ingredients. Simple presentation and cooking but with top quality technique. Loved the fois gras and the duck, as did my (then) 2 .5 year old son who ate a whole leg of confit, much to the good humour of the lovely staff.... More

We were lucky enough to find this place during a recent trip to France and I am so glad we did. Fantastic food, excellent service and I liked the fact that it was located a little outside the center of town. Entrecôte was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Even something as simple as the French fries were delicious, fresh... More

What a great find, thanks to Tripadvisor! Wonderful honest French food, cooked & seasoned perfectly. We opted for a light lunch of fish soup and a foie gras starter and both were outstanding, coupled with friendly attentive service. Would definitely like to return to explore the menu in more detail

I am nearing the end of a 26 day trip to France, and this is one of the best, if not the best, meals I have had here. There is nothing "typical" about this restaurant. The food was beautifully prepared and presented, and very imaginative. Local ingredients were livened up by unexpected flavors--preserved lemon, and possibly tamarind. Portions were extremely... After our first meal at Olatua, we came back twice in two days! And the only reason why we did not come back a third time is that we had previously reserved a table at another restaurant which we did not want to cancel. This came a bit as a surprise to us as the menu does not look like... More
