Our best meal in France!

We were brought to this place on recommendation of a local taxi driver looking for any restaurant in torrential rain on a Monday night when most places in town were closed. My thanks to previous Trip Advisor reviewers who for the most part were spot on about the excellent quality and innovative gastronomic experience amidst the atmospheric 'secret garden' at Le Clos Saint Front. Our evening was truly magical; the food and wine was superb; and Patrick was the perfect host, chef and photographer! All the family enjoyed the occasion and... More

A lovely evening spent in a lovely courtyard with plenty of charm. Food excellent and worth the wait as you knew it was being freshly prepared. The staff were extremely polite and made us feel welcomed from the start. Highly recommend.

We were wandering round the old town and stumbled upon this place for lunch. We sat outside in the shaded garden in the most tranquil and perfect setting. As we were due to dine that evening we chose the set menu but saw some wonderful alc dished behind served to other diners. We had two pea and bean gazpacho -... More

We went there based on a local recommendation and were nit disappointed. The cooking would best be described as very modern French using local ingredients of the highest quality. The wine list had many interesting bargains as well as some if the best armagnacs. The service by the owners was exceptionally warm and friendly. A great restaurant!

Every so often you come across a place that you know will be part of your treasured memories forever. The night was perfect-the setting and ambience was idyllic-our hosts were impeccable and above all friendly-the food was outstanding-I highly recommend anyone to visit this restaurant-and when I forgot my sunglasses our host even ran after us when he recognised us-places... Amazingly tasty creative menu - between us we had most of the dishes on offer and were surprised and impressed with every single one in every single course. Attentive, enthusiastic staff who supported our choices, going as far as 'creating' a menu especially for our 9 year old, introducing him to outstanding cuisine which he loved. Gorgeous setting with outdoor... More

An inspired discovery by my wife as we sought an alternative to the somewhat un-appealing options around the splendid cathedral. The tranquil and shady courtyard still had a table or four left at 12.45. By one o'clock it was full to the gunwhales so booking may be sensible. Many diners seemed to be local., whether in small groups or couples.... More

It is hard to find this place, mhe sign I'd tiny and you walk down a narrow entrance from the street, but it is so worth it. A love,y garden and wonderful food are only the beginning. The staff is the embodiment of warm professionalism. Local wines were a revelation, and do not miss the trilogies de foie gras--small portions of... More

I had a delicious 3 course meal in a lovely garden. From the trilogy of foies gras to the veal to finish up with the millefeuille (in their creative rendition), everything was beautifully prepared and presented. I highly recommended this restaurant for a memorable meal. It was the best meal of my trip.
