Good quality food.

Nice and clean little place across from the cathedrale. Professional and polite service. Very good Chateaubriand and wonderful dessert with pruneau. Little but good selection of wines.

If you want to try some of the best regional produce including duck, pate and truffles this is the place. Located across the road from the cathedral the menu, cooked by a female chef is exceptional. I enjoyed a bottle of local savingnon semillion and veal sweetbreads in a tuffle and mushroom sauce with mashed potato and spinach. Friends had... More

Any expectations...expensive and absolutely without passion...we a had a bottle on Chablis...some bread...and after at least 45 mins a terribly salty filet with potatoes (or something fancy if look at the menu) and plain kidneys...75€ in total...like a starred restaurant but without any clue...no value for money as the whole Periguex has been able to offer to us (hotel, views...and... This is what I would call done in the smart end of the ‘rustic’ style with wooden panelled walls and flagstone floors. The food is the same, top end of traditional in a semi-formal surrounding with semi-formal service. Will be back, price was just right for what you get.

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise as I have passing it for years and never realized that it existed. The La Taula is on a small street on the side of the Cathedral next to a Chinese restaurant. From the outside it is just another storefront but inside it is very neat and clean. The menu is regional with fois... More

We were in Perigueux for one night and wanted to enjoy a good French, local meal. We found just the right place. For a set menu price we had an excellent 4 course dinner. In addition the waiter advised us a delicious wine. We enjoyed every bite in this small yet elegant restaurant. After we left the waiter made a... More

We wanted to test a duck liver, speciality of this region. I have asked a lady in the apron, most probably owner if the meal is good. She answered with serious face "Of course it is good I did it!" It was really truth. Liver was excellent and we enjoyed it with a bottle of red vine.

Parked the car right outside and walked straight off the street to a lovely little table. Left it to the waiter to choose a bottle of local white, and it was a great choice. Although it was busy (sat night) the starters arrived after 20 mins and were delicious, i had the prawn and grapefruit, my wife had the salmon... More

Only wanted a main meal but still had to wait an hour and 15 minutes even though the restaurant wasn't terribly busy and boasted 2 waiters. When the meals eventually arrived the portions were scandalously small in size and took only a few minutes to consume. A terrible experience. The restaurant had no atmosphere , poor service, sparse helpings of... More
