Busy restaurant full of locals with a queue to get a table so we thought it would be good. Service was very quick and the staff were friendly but the food was terrible. We both had steak and chips which we thought was a popular/fail safe option but there was more fat than meat on the steak and the chips... More

With so many lovley resteraunts in Pau to choose from I suggest this as a fairly average choice. The food was ok, but could have been better. The service was a little slow, but that is generally the way things are in Pau. Had a steak which was ok, served with only fries, could have done with some additional trimming... More

We were directed here by a local, a retired dentists from Paris, who told us it was the place everyone went. We were lucky to get an outdoor table -- it was just warm enough -- and had solid bistro service and better than average bistro food. It's reputation as the local bistro standard is well deserved.

I first came here in 2005 when I moved to France, the proprietor was a crazy old lady and she whipped staff verbally and the food was amazing and you could imagine the same food here in 1946 when I think it first opened. Nine years on, new proprietors and nothing has changed apart from the napkins match and a... More

It was 23 years since my last visit! But it is still there! A friendly neighbourhood restaurant , full of locals (good sign). The foie frais mi cuit (with Jurancon) was excellent but the confit de canard (yep I had a duck fest!) had been deep fried!! The fries were soggy. The (self) selection of cheese was excellent. Very nice... More

A true blue brasserie with its friendly servers offering a very cordial setting. If you love meat, the chateaubriand and margret de carnard will definitely not disappoint you. The place is usually packed during dinner so it may be a good idea to arrive early.

Good restaurant, but not possible to book, so sometimes, waiting is long. People are friendly, but space isnt big, so not easy when your party is big. Better to go in couples only.

Le Berry remains one of the few places I've been to that still has unusual but typical menu items. Their meats are excellent. They enjoy a large loyal customer base so if you want a table, you must show up at or before noon and before 7:30 at night. Or call for a reservation.

This place has lost its way. The food is average and the service poor and unprofessional. They are now living on past reputation and only ripping off their customers serving ordinary food at inflated prices.
