Brasserie experience

Historic brasserie in the heart of PAU. Very nice decoration in the genuine style of parisian brasserie. Very good "dish of the day" with generous portion. The menus could be updated. Beware that it closes at 2:00 pm sharp !

bustling with lunch and dinner goers, you cannot book so unless you arrive a little before the official opening time, then you will need to wait for a seat. service is brisk and efficient but can be without humour depending on how hassled the sever is when he gets to you. the food is reliably good and good value. true... Le Berry was the most famous 'brasserie' in Pau, in it's old location, across Place Clemenceau. My father used to go there with his friends, and I sometimes had the joy to join him. As a young adult, I used to go there with my friends. Just to say how imortant is this restaurant to locals. I left Pau a... More

As usual, no surprise, good, people are relaxed, food is fresh and the half portions are enough for one adult! I fall for the deserts and gutted I did not have enough time for them today No bookings so be early

Very basic menu, little overpriced for what we got. Quality of meat not up to irish standard. Service could be better. Slow to recommend.

Overall .4 outa 5, (plus points for quick service and ambiance) if just for the Food it will be 3.5 Servings for main and the vegetables are separated which makes the meat a litte dry but merry to many French who like to taste each an exquistive taste. My favourite dish is sweet peas (petit pois), it is a must... More

Standard of food not as good as it sounded on the menu! Waited at least 15 mins. before we were given menus and when food finally arrived it was bland and tasteless. Waiters all looked as though they would rather be elsewhere.

We went here because there did not seem to be much else open and it was full and there was still a queue. Waited about 20 mins for a table. We both had veal one as natural with mushroom sauce the other in bread crumb both came with chips and as a side there was tinned peas.Reasonable local wine. This is... More

With PAU shutting on Sundays, not much choice of where to eat. Large menu of which very little appears freshly cooked or home made. Go for the fish. The rest seems industirally prpared or frozen. The Canneloni is awful and made with sausages. Service very efficent, poor choice of local wines. Cheap to eat

Well done is something not known here, friends burger was bloody and was supposed to be well , I ordered my steak well and was medium rare but that's how I like it. One waiter was going to give us code for wifi but another stopped him and said they didn't have it.
