Good food

We liked that food was fresh and nice. Service a bit slow but ok. Average price for the type of food.

We chose this restaurant because we were staying just across the square and it was extremely popular. We went early 7pm, because you can't book, although you can't order your food until 7:30pm. Food was delicious, service and ambiance excellent. Well worth a visit.

This place is so popular you need to be there for the doors opening. They don't take bookings and customers start arriving around 7.30pm. Our postman recommended this restaurant before we went away on holiday and I must admit it's one recommendation I cannot fault. The food, the service and the atmosphere is 2nd to none. Over the course of... More

Restaurant extremely popular and had customers queueing out the door for tables. We had the salmon, it was huge, moist and very tasty. Accompanying chips were very tired but the rest of the meal made up for it. My husband had a starter of cheese and onion soup which he pronounced, very cheesy and very oniony". I only had the... This is a very very busy place, one minute its empty the next its full up. Had to wait one hour to eat but worth it. This is a huge, well lit room ( which I am not a fan of) The weekend of the Grand Prix it was probably busier that usual. The staff are fantastic and without exception... More

A must if you're ready for a meal at 12-noon or 7pm sharp... The place is such an attraction that all the locals know about the need to be there as close as possible to opening times! Food is good local cuisine, and their specialty is meat, so any form thereof will be scrumptious. Being a "bistro", some may find... More

We went here for lunch on our last day in Pau. We'd been looking at the fairly extensive menu a few times in passing and decided to finally bite the bullet. They were full, but managed to get a table for the two of us. The service was efficient and friendly The onion soup was excellent - one of the... More

I think this restaurant is highly overrated and I do not understand the attraction for a place where you can not reserve, the wait time is long, the clients crammed in like sardines with no privacy from their neighbors (removing a few tables would help immensely) and the food ... mediocre. In all fairness, my husband disagrees about the food... More
