I could eat here every night

Fell in love with this place recently and frequent it several times a week. The atmosphere and the service are exemplary, especially considering how busy they are all the time. they provide an English menu and do their best to speak English as well which is very refreshing in Pau for an English guy... read more

I think this restaurant is highly overrated and I do not understand the attraction for a place where you can not reserve, the wait time is long, the clients crammed in like sardines with no privacy from their neighbors (removing a few tables would help immensely) and the food ... mediocre. In all fairness, my husband disagrees about the food... More

Great duck confit. Long lines to get in. Be prepared to wait minimum 10 minutes. Friendly wait staff.

We were recommended to visit this brasserie from a travel book. However, we were very disappointed. We ordered the steak with Béarnaise sauce and chips, the sauce was delicious, the best ever but our steak was tough and fatty and we had to leave most of it. The waiter was extremely unfriendly and very slow in serving us so we... More

I went with my wife at midday, 12 sharp. The place was already full, we were able to get the last table for two without waiting. We ate the Chateaubriand, it was juicy and tender, nothing to regret. Tables were too close to each other, the ambience is good and the service is ok. Nothing special, but interesting for a... More

So glad to see that the move hasn't changed this restaurant, have been eating here since 2006 and apart from a bad patch in 2009/2010 it has never failed to please. It's a good value basic restaurant with quick service and decent meat and every time we try a new restaurant in Pau we wonder why we bothered.

This is a great fun, busy, noisy bistro. Very traditional - try the steak with Béarnaise sauce and chips and the lovely cakes for pudding. A great place for people watching, drinking good red wine and old fashioned French style.

I was in Pau last days and a friend recommended the place for dinner. Really good food nice place and the people ready to indulge your senses. Try a local wine together with the plate of cheese... Uau

We decided to have dinner here after it was recommended to us. It was a bit of a disappointment :- -Too expensive 77 euros for 2 courses for 2 people + 1/2 bottle of wine -Food nothing special No real problems with the food, but it was nothing special. The chateaubriand was overdone and the chips were very oily, the... More

We were directed to Le Berry by the French couple that we met at our failed visit to Les Jardins de Verone in Pau (I have commented separatedly about that bad experience). We enjoyed so much that we are so thankful to this failure. The ambiance at Le Berry is old charmy and authentical French, Most of patrons were locals... More
