This restaurant was recommended to us for its lovely location and interesting lunch menu, we were not disappointed. The three of us all had the set lunch menu at 17 euros for 3 courses each. The "menu du jour" that day:- - Starter = Rillettes de saumon or gazpacho - Main = Filet de merlu or salad cesar - Dessert... More

We had dinner at Ze Bistro having never eaten out in Pau. It was recommended by family who had eaten there once before and joined us for the meal. The menu was small, but specials were available, so, lots of choice and variety. The service was fantastic and the food was wonderful. Reasonably priced. We would most definitely recommend it... We had lunch here recently and enjoyed it immensly . The menu is simple and very good value , but the cooking is not ordinary and everything is very well presented. It is a charming little bistrot in the chateau area of Pau - and one must book as it is only very small . There is some outside seating... More

Visited this restaurant as we had seen good reviews on Trip Advisor. If you like plenty of choice on your menu and decent portions then this is not for you. Only three choices per course, not cheap for what you get and found the service disinterested; they couldn't even be bothered to recommend a wine. Agreed it is a nice... More

We have been living in Pau for almsot two years because of my fiancé job, and we feel like we are in exhile. Most of the local restaurants are average and propose always the same (overpriced) things over and over, and you are supposed to like them because they are "bearn" products..... Well this restaurant is really good, the food... More

Good food and wine, great atmosphere, and very friendly . Not for everyone I know but the foie gras is delicious. Go if you can.

We had a lunch and a dinner here. Fabulous cote de boeuf shared as a main, beautiful myrtille tart , small but interesting wine selection. Very reasonably priced (42 euros for lunch for two including a glass of wine and coffee). Warm and efficient service. Located near the chateau.

We had chosen this restaurant from previous Tripadvisor recommendations and we weren't disapppointed. We could not get in on Maundy Thursday as it was full so we booked for Good Friday. The ambiance is lovely and the staff attentive without being overly so. There is an excellent choice on the menu - between the 5 of us we had a... More
