When you live in SW France you don't want to eat duck all the time so when I was looking for something a bit different I found this on TA! The ambience is like a kasbah cafe with draped voiles, bright colours and fretwork screens. The welcome and the service is effusive and genuine. The food is simple and very... More

La Fiancee du Desert is an absolute gem. Having tried and failed to turn up for a table a couple of times, I finally remembered to book in advance for lunch this week! Just three of us went for lunch, it was utterly delightful. Hummus, tzaziki, moussaka and a falafel wrap full of DELIGHTFUL ingredients with the perfect hint of... More

This little gem was recommended to us by a work colleague, a very good priced, simple menu with the option of a take away makes this a regular lunch stop for us. The food is simple but lovely and the option of different levels of spiceyness means its great for everyone. The real treat is the mint tea, which instead... More

This restaurant is great all around. Being from the middle-east, it is as close as you can get to middle-eastern food in Pau. While some dishes are altered for Western tastes (as it often happens all over the world) it is still very good. You need to make a reservation because it is very busy. The prices are excellent and... More
