I booked for a birthday lunch at the Villa Laetitia (which has two names and is therefore getting two sets of reviews) mainly on the strength of the Tripadvisor reviews. The restaurant is pretty and well appointed, the staff were welcoming and charming, but sadly the food was a bit ‘style over substance’. It also lacked flavour or seasoning –... More

We arrived at Bergerac airport and headed straight for the town centre, we had seen the restaurant on tripadvisor and decided to give it a go. It was overcast when we arrived and opted to sit inside, the decor is lovely and you feel that you are somewhere special. The tables outside are well located under a large tree, giving... More

I am sorry to write a less than enthusiastic review here but I feel I must for the benefit of the staff of this establishment and for others. Unless you receive constrictive criticism you will not know that improvements are required. We waited 40 minutes before we were served a drink! Yes you were busy but if you were not... More

It's a very nice restaurant in the old center of Bergerac. If you make a reservation, make sure you sit on the little square in front of the restaurant. The courses are sublime. If you eat there in the evening, you'll sit with many tourists. But if you go there for lunch, there are almost only locals over there!

Please note this restaurant is VILLA LAETITIA The restaurant was recommended by 2 wineries in the area (Château le Fagé & Clos des Verdots). It lived up to their recommendations. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The staff were very attentive and always present. I was seated upstairs so I was worried I would be forgotten. But there was... More

Villa Laetitia is a great addition to the Bergerac dining scene. The staff are friendly and attentive, the food is excellent and the setting is very nice. 3 course lunch with two choices per course is 19 euros and is excellent value for money. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

Went there today after reading the review from Les Anglais24 Please note that Le Clos Pastel is the name of the parent company that owns this and the sister restaurant Chez Alain which I have reviewed before and it is excellent. Villa Laetitia is the name over the door and if like me you ask for directions to Le Clos... More

We have used the sister restaurant, Chez Alain, Issigeac, for the past six years, so are happy to recommend Laetitia and Sebastian's new venture, the stylish Villa Laetitia to be found in the heart of the old town, Bergerac. The interior is light, bright and welcoming, the food unusually good for the price:what more can the discerning customer desire? This is... More

After a walk through the old part of town in the afternoon, I spotted Clos Pastel and took a photo of the menu. There is dining both inside and outside on the terrace shared with the restaurant next door. I opted for inside because the decor was so charming and inviting. I had the distinct feeling the restaurant may not... More
