We had a realy super meal here on Monday evening, before walking down to the river to watch the fireworks. Staff and food were wonderful. Thank you.

Noon in Bergerac and the heavens opened. Hey, that restaurant looks OK - let's dive in for lunch. And OK it definitely was. The dining area was cosy - perhaps room for 18 covers (there's also a courtyard for dining - but not in the rain!). The young waitress was very welcoming and was extremely patient with my poor French.... More

The chef is working only with fresh products of the season. He is very creative in varying traditional recipes in modern forms. He is working with a variety of herbs and spices, which makes every course very special. The service is very friendly and efficient. In the wine list, everybody can find his special wine. We recommend this restaurant strongly!!!!

We had a fabulous meal in le Saint Jacques, exquisite food in a delightful courtyard. We really appreciated the service and speaking with the Chef who is clearly enthusiastic and passionate about his food. We wish the restaurant every success.

We just loved this experience. The chef, his wife, the atmosphere, the food, the service. Can't say much more but a must visit for all in Bergerac. Gil and Ann Smith, Sydney, Australia.

The restaurant is under new management since our last visit. The room hasn't changed much and is still a comfortable pleasant place to sit and eat. It was a Saturday night and busy enough with a party of five in the upstairs area and five tables downstairs occupied. It appeared that there were two in the kitchen and one lady... More

Found out the restaurant was under new management but we were not disappointed. Yes the menu is not as cheap as some others but the quality was first class from the amuse Bouche to the coffee. Definitely worth a try-we will be returning.

I enjoyed a terrific dinner here! The building is kind of rambling and there is an "interesting" courtyard in the middle that provides a cool summer spot that is classy and fun. I use the word interesting as we were treated to lengthy phone calls by someone up stairs in the surrounding the building that were LOUD -- fortunately not... More

The young couple running the restaurant are trying very hard to develop a classy establishment and are clearly on their way. We ate upstairs next to a massive 16th century fireplace in a room with high ceilings and exposed beams, once a merchant family's home. The salades perigourdines were excellent starters, but the mains and desserts were a little disappointing... More

This is a lovely restaurant, under new management, - a young French couple. They have improved it in many ways, with new menus, new prices and wine lists. The service and attention were first class, and the food was delicious. It's set in a very old building, with walls several feet thick, looking out on one of the oldest streets... More
