Tasty and authentic basque/Spanish cuisine - recommend the paella totally awsome feast - service was friendly and genuine - good for a casual night out with friends

Still a great place to go to watch posers, local, artist and trades mix. Food has really gone down hill. Hope they're back with gusto come summer and patio season.

Not the hippest but the most happening place in Biarritz. Just expanded into a larger place next door, but the crush is still the same. A mixed crowd of young and old, locals and tourists, all come for the good food and great atmosphere. Not the best value in town but a great place for tapas, sangria and people-watching.

Great busy atmosphere and helpful (hot) waiter! Try a few tapas from the bar and if you like like deep fried calamari, go for it because they are worth it! Tried a few dishes which were good but its all about the buzzy atmosphere here.

We had a few days break in Biaritzz and this was the best restaurant we found. Great French atmosphere, friendly English speaking waiters, great tapas, really good house wine (white & red), excellent food and reasonably priced. We'll be back!!!

We enjoyed staying at the terrace , almost dining in the street, the self service ( tapeo) has been amazing in both quality and variety and.....we paid reasonable prices for such experience. The lively atmosphere is part of the bar Jean! Don't miss it!

This is definitely the place to be day or night, come about 8pm, it gets busy, people sitting and standing everywhere on the street so get in early if you want to have a table. The food was great, we got the Paella that was €40, it said for 2 people, would've served 4 well and even more if you... More

A large group headed here for lunch. This included two children. Staff were friendly and fine with children. Six of us ordered the paella so it came out in a huge pan for us to share. Would happily recommend, it was very generous serving and really tasty.

This is the second time we have been to Biarritz and went back to Bar Jean for the fabulous Paella. We went at lunchtime when it is not quite as busy but it is best still to book if you can or you can wait for a table at busy times, Great place to go to in the evening for... More
