A pleasant and packed tapas bar by the Halles, frequented mostly by locals but with a few tourists even in December. The pintxos on the bar were appetising and very popular with patrons. Seats are hard to come by and worth grabbing if you want to try something more substantial from the menu. We had a couple of menu dishes,... More

We have been to Bar Jean only once as the second time it was so overrun with patrons that not a seat was to be had. That being said you dont want to sit. This is a tapas bar and is best enjoyed by standing at the bar and eating the local tapas. In these sorts of places in Spain... More

Tourist Trap! Tourist Trap! Tourist Trap! Shocking service....very ordinary dishes at inflated prices.......I ordered a piece of beef if you can call it that - more like a slab of fat and gristle. complained to the waitress.....no response forthcoming. Visit at your peril!

We had dinner here outside in the poring rain. Luckily we sat under the blinds. It was romantic, good atmosphere, nice people and good food. If you want something else instead of the standard tourist 'we all have the same menu' restaurants? Go here, we highly recommend it.

A must visit for at least a drink, the food is also delicious. Gets very busy and crowds spill out onto the street. If eating, look out for the fresh daily local specials, yum. The burgers are excellent as is the chocolate mousse. I tried a local dish, veal basque with peppers and chilli, i want the recipe!

The rest of Biarritz was dead this night and found this place which was buzzing. Great atmosphere, noisy and busy but had good service. 4 of us shared a grilled rib of beef with chips which was great( reminiscent of a meal in buenos aires. We Had to be kicked out in the end- good night!

Located next to the indoor market in the city, this is place is very pleasant. Not a great Deco, but very typical, friendly atmosphere People eat at the bar or at tables. The dishes are mostly tapas, varied and top notch. Perfect to discover products from this area.

Great food and vibe during the high season - a real taste of local cuisine. Hectic in a good way, don't expect to be treated like kings, its very busy.

One of the oldest places around the market. Has been redone and has more space, wines and classic tapas. You can also have dinner. Careful it is often crowded and no reservations
