Great Atmosphere, great service and really excellent food

We randomly picked this restaurant from Trip Advisor and what a great choice this turned out to be! It's a family run business with the husband as chef and the wife front of house. The atmosphere is warm and buzzing full of mostly French couples and families of all ages. The food was excellent and... read more

The dinner we had there was quite disappointing. We ordered a steak, which was rubber-like and the sauce was very salty. Tuna had an oily aftertaste and was served with three sad looking potato pieces. The desserts were not too great either, the chocolate one was sprinkled with tons and tons of cocoa powder. Raspberry soufflé with basil sorbet was... More

My son and I recently had a wonderful meal at L'Atelier. It is a small, well-run establishment. The service was warm and attentive. The highlights of our meal were the tomato souffle appetizer and also the strawberry onion jam that accompanied the dessert platter of local cheeses. Loved the red large scale floral wallpaper.

The place wasnt quite what I was expecting on first impressions however, it did deliver on food, service and ambience (apart from the annoying couple next to us). The food was good, we had the tasting menu for €85 with 4 courses and wine, but in actual fact we ended up with 7 small plates including canapes which were lovely.... More

Had the set lunch menu (35€) that included excellent trout tartar as a starter. The main course was sea bass with coconut rice that was really nice as well, but not as good as tartar. Dessert was exotic fruit soup. They also served 2 extra dishes before the starter and one extra dessert The service was ok, nothing spectacular. Definately... More

Outstanding food and yet a good value for money. Service is cold and a bit arrogant, however professional. Ambience is very simple... So is the wine list. Overall it is a great experience as their food is exceptionally good - the Chef is talented indeed! Highly recommended.

Our family had the tasting menus today. We have been eating in more than 30 Michelin star restaurants all over the world and L'Atelier beats easily some of the 2 and even 3 star restaurants. The service was good and food excellent from the beginning to the end incl. each dish which is very rare. Can easily recommend!

If you do not mind being treated with disdain by arrogant rude staff then this is a good choice. The food was fine - a bit pricey to be honest considering the lack of choice . We had lunch there recently and from entering the restaurant it was made clear we were something of a nuisance . There was a... More

We visited Biarritz for the first time in last week in April and went to L'Atelier for dinner. We had read several reviews, some quite unfavourable , but we had a very enjoyable evening with attentive polite staff and a very good tasting menu. The restaurant was fairly busy and service was excellent. The waitress carefully described each dish and... More

We ate here before Xmas and were well impressed with the food and the service provided. The hostess looked after us throughout and warmed to our Welsh humour! Prices were high but quality was faultless.
