St Charles is definitely a nice "quartier" to shop, experience and enjoy great local basque food. This place is just superb with elaborate, tasty and innovative food which makes it a must to visit when in Biarritz. Prices are a bit hefty but the quality and the experience are worth it by far.

We had lunch at l’atelier today. The restaurant is not exactly situated Centre Ville, but a few kilometre out, on a nice street with mainly food shops, wine, bakeries, charcuterie and a few small supermarkets. We were the only guests for lunch, and got superb service. Two waiters plus the hostess/owner. All of them very attentive and kind. We had... More

We could summarize this review, like others, by saying eat at L'Impertinent if you have to choose. Many dishes at this restaurant are however excellent and insolite. The chef is excellent. The front of house isn't of the same calibre. The maitre d (female) was cold and distant at first but warmed as the evening progressed. The music is horrible... More

An uninteresting yet overpriced menu for a backstreet restaurant that has not yet reached even the first rung of the ladder of its aspirations or delusions of grandeur. Starters from 20 euro, entrees from 30 euro and puddings from 15 euros, with wines by the glass a rip-off at 20 Euro and a stratospheric rip off by the bottle. All... More

This restaurant seemed to have a good reputation with regards to food, food was average, definitively not worth the trip, but besides the food, which is of course important in a restaurant, was a rude and very disappointing attitude of the lady in charge of the customers. Being on a strict regime we did not order alcohol (no wine, no... More

Went for my birthday on a Friday night with my wife. Had a starter of langoustines in pastry which were lovely. Main was semi smoked fillet of beef with roast veggies. Dessert was a very posh chocolate log with raspberry and beetroot sorbet. I loved the meal and it's obviously cooked with a lot of love. I would ignore the... More

This small but cozy Michelin-star restaurant was our choice during a business dinner on a slow Tuesday November night. It’s a bit off the city center but still OK to walk(15mins) and situated in a residential area. The food is what you would expect from a Michelin-star restaurant; creative combinations/cooked to perfection and excellent service. There were few things that... More

The restaurant is located in an attractive residential shopping area just outside the town centre but within easy walking distance. It's not large and just becoming established having recently gained its first Michelin star. It's run by a couple with the husband as chef and the front of house covered by his wife. The restaurant was full on the evening... More
