It's all about cheese basically!

We visited this restaurant on a Friday evening in February 2015 and it was lovely, but be under no illusion; this place is for the cheese lover, and it helps if you like wine as well. From the off this was the sort of place that we want to visit again and again, when we arrived we were welcomed by Patrice who was great all evening well informed about the food that he was serving and life in general. The boss who was with friends took time to speak to us and helped overall to make... More

Great, great wine and cheeses and a format you don't often see: choose a bottle of something special and build your meal (albeit cheese-related) around it. The cooking has a touch of rusticality about it, but that -with cheese - eg the tartiflette or the morilles bake - is what makes it so great. Downsides: - I do think both... More

Fun meal, with staff who love their wine and cheeses. Cheese cellar has 100s of varieties. Great fun

I can't imagine a nicer evening epicurean delight in Bordeaux! The cheeses and cheese inspired menu are phenomenal. Make sure to visit the cheese cellar! Choosing wine from various bottles located casually throughout the restaurant is much more fun than looking at a menu. We were there early and had the undivided attention of the owner and staff and felt... More

As part of the Bordeaux Tourist Office wine tour we were taken to lunch by our guide. The restaurant is very near the tourist office and is small but charming. We were introduced to the owner and chef. Our lunch consisted of beef stew with vegetables, served with three cheeses on a platter. For the final course we were given... More

We booked a table here based upon a guide book recommendation and on TA ratings. It was a wonderful meal. The food was excellent and the wine selection is unique in that you just get up from your table and pick out your own bottle from hundreds that are stacked and stored in cases throughout the restaurant. They have a... More

We had dinner here on our last night in Bordeaux, a true French dinning experience. Great food served by a wonderful, friendly host. No wine list here, you just wandered down the restaurant and selected the wine you wanted from the many the many boxes of wine. The cheese room in the basement is a cheese lovers dream. If you... This very nice and cosy restaurant is really a paradise for cheese lovers. Beside the about 120 different types of cheese and a very good choice of wines, also the people working here are very friendly and nice. We should have spent more time for the meal, because after a full plate of cheese you cannot taste the differences anymore.... More

There really is only one reason to visit this place - cheese! If you like cheese it would be criminal to visit Bordeaux without stopping by. Fantastic!
