We had dinner here on our last night in Bordeaux, a true French dinning experience. Great food served by a wonderful, friendly host. No wine list here, you just wandered down the restaurant and selected the wine you wanted from the many the many boxes of wine. The cheese room in the basement is a cheese lovers dream. If you... This very nice and cosy restaurant is really a paradise for cheese lovers. Beside the about 120 different types of cheese and a very good choice of wines, also the people working here are very friendly and nice. We should have spent more time for the meal, because after a full plate of cheese you cannot taste the differences anymore.... More

There really is only one reason to visit this place - cheese! If you like cheese it would be criminal to visit Bordeaux without stopping by. Fantastic!

The host at our hotel suggested that we try this restaurant. It looks like a little 'hole in the wall' but did we ever have a great meal. The atmosphere is simple and cluttered (with all the wine selections they currently have on offer stuffed in niches around the room) - this is not a table cloth type of place.... More

We had a wonderful dinner at Baud et Millet. Our main waiter was a lot of fun and spoke perfect English. The cheese is in a room down the stairs and is amazing and there really is too much to choose from. Be careful of the steps leading down to the cheese room. We did ask for a recommendation on... This is a wine and cheese restaurant. If you like trying different cheeses you are in the right place! They had a wonderful selection room and I must have tried 15 different kinds. Little bits with plain bread and a glass of wine. It was quite heavenly, but then cheese is my second favorite food on earth.

The food was alright and honestly nothing to wow about. Great selection of wine but seriously how much cheese can one eat. I felt 3 kgs heavier after all the courses. This is quite touristy as I didn't see any locals dining and probably a one time experience only. Once for me and enough.

This place is an excellent restaurant for tasting excellent cheeses all over France and wines. The service to my opinion is correct but I have the feeling that it can be very casual for a restaurant of this level. You would get a great evening if you focus on cheese dishes trying not to include meat or other "innovations". The... More

Two weeks later and I’m still on a cholesterol high. And gladly so. This was a great place for an evening out, for at least three reasons. We opted for what isn’t called the eat-yourself-to-death cheese menu, now 32 Euros. The Caverne du Fromage has been slated by some reviewers, but we were impressed by the vast array of cheeses,... Check your cholesterol levels and then enter! Unfortunately we went to this place when the kitchen was closed at around 15.00 and we could only have the 28 Euro "all you can eat" cheese cellar. They have by far the best and biggest choice of cheeses out there. I felt like a kid in Disneyland. They also have a very... More
